the metallurgist that i use for my business just sent me an email.... here it is....

Chris,

Thanks for the invite to the philly historic home show, we will be there for sure. I got around to doing the test on the knife you sent me, I can say its rather unique in composition, especially after hearing its durability so here is the breakdown……..

well the composition of INFI has already been discussed so it is no secret, but lets see what you found out

Umm...what Kloneducci said.

BTW, just knowing the fractions isn't enough to reproduce the steel. As Valleytinworks no doubt knows, there is more to it than that!

That's actually quite a bit of nitrogen...

i know the recipe isnt anything without the process, i am kind of shocked by certain parts of the process though.....

Yup, think about the nitrogen and how it gets in there and then imagine what 80 hours of cycling heat treat and cryogenics does:thumbup:

Now, I am pretty sure that the FBM you got is 5160. Jerry sent you his apprentice blade

So you've seen the INFI androids, I take it....

(Did I write that out loud?)

I knew vintage Easy-Bake Ovens were getting harder to find. Jerry's been buying them all up to cook INFI, hasn't he?

The secret INFI Androids ...... Made by the Janitor himself!! Bigger than you would think ... eh?:D

That android's kind of hot. You know, if she had hair and skin and such.

Whip up a batch of INFI and cut the price in half. Your 1.6 mil will be much higher...........:D
