I've recently had an itch to get some stupid big folders. Partially because of their usefulness and partially just because they are cool! What are some knives that are OVER 4".

All I know of are:

Emerson UBR Commander
Probably a lot of Cold Steels

I've been eyeing the AGR large folding hunter for a while now. I also love my XL Voyager; best deal on a huge folder out there!

Spyderco ulize, benchmade bedlam, cold steel sable, couple of new boker models just off the top of my head

Cold Steel Spartan, Spyderco Szabo, Viper Rhino, CRKT Otanashi Noh Ken, SOG Spec Elite 2, Fox Deimos, HTM AXD or MAXX 5.5 just to name a few.

When i first got this hold out 1 i laughed. Figured what a novelty unusable thing. But it is no joke. I love it. Can actually EDC it easily(big pockets). Have been for last 4 days with a Contego. With the serrations on there it's only an excellent food prep knife mostly but when i take them off i'll have lot more options to use it on. And i will. Get one. Everytime i hold it i can't help but smile. Probably gonna buy another even though i told myself no more Cold Steel since i got 8 of them but their so cheap and good i can't help myself.

I'm still a big fan of the Cold Steel Hold Out 1. Sometimes the tip is a little thin for a 6" blade, but the tried and true shape combined with good construction makes for a pretty nice knife.

Not quite 4", but if you like to have a super tough one, BKC Adamas 275, or Contego 810 will fit nicely. They are not just big, but has very strong lock.

My first thoughts too.The HoldOUt II and III the same way. The more i use it though the more faith i have in it. Had blade play too side to side but tightened the pivet almost all the way and very sturdy now. Don't need to flip the blade out. And their at $40 now at alot of places. Great value for me. I'm probably gonna have to by another *od d*mmit.:o

They're kind of hard to find, but an Emerson CQC-11 logs in at 4.1"
It's a solid knife with great ergonomics

This with a Charlie Mike Wave mod V
