BIG FOLDERS: Knives over 4" Inches

I just got a brand new Spyderco Military w/ fluted titanium handle. Totally awesome.

The Szabo looks sick too.

Unfortunately Cold Steel rubbed my mall ninja nerve and now my Rajah 3 is the smallest folder I carry (well I carry a tuff lite and mini tuff lite, but they don't count).

Four inches and up? Espada XL G10, Hold Out 1, Hold Out 2 serrated, Rajah 2, Voyager Clip XL, Ti-Lite 6" Zytel, Voyager Vaquero XL serrated, Talwar 4", Talwar 5.5", Voyager L clip, Voyager L Vaquero, Voyager L Vaquero serrated, Spartan, Kudu, Pocket Bushman.

That is a lot of 4" plus folders.

Setting right at 4" and the longest blade folder I have is a Southern Grind Bad Monkey. It's not stupidly big, easy to carry and I like it ;)

Tons of big ass folders out there.......

I've recently had an itch to get some stupid big folders. Partially because of their usefulness and partially just because they are cool! What are some knives that are OVER 4".

All I know of are:

Emerson UBR Commander
Probably a lot of Cold Steels

Over 4 inches? Yeah, Cold Steel has a lot. Not even counting discontinued models you have the XL Voyager and XL Recon series, Large and XL Espada, Hold Out 1, Ti-Lite 6'', Rajah 2, Paradox and Paradox Large, Counter Point XL, Talwar XL, Spartan, Kudu and Eland.

Plus the Voyager Large series, the standard Recon 1 series, the Talwar, the Ti-Lite 4'', Hold Out 2, and Counter Point 1 are all right at 4 inches.

Spyderco has the Ulize, Police, Szabo, Resilience and Civilian which are over 4 inches, and the Military is 4 inches

Aside from those, you have the Opinel #12 and #15(also the 13, but that one's more of a joke knife), and the CRKT Otanashi Noh Ken which are over 4 inches. The Opinel #10 and the Ontario Spec Plus folders are 4 inches.

Ontario Hossom Retribution 1. Big joker. 4.25" blade that's .2" thick with Ti liners that are thicker than some knife blades.

Cold Steel Large Voyager (old model)
Ontario Retribution 1
Spyderco Military (CPM-D2)

Spyderco Resilience, big version of the Tenacious, comes in at $40 or so and has a 4.25" blade FFG.

:D

Seriously, I gotta go with bld522. The CS XL Espada is about the largest, most gasp-inducing production folding knife currently available.

Kizer has some pretty gnarly 4"+ knives. I agree that the CS Espada XL is the king though. Emperor for that matter, nothing really comes close.
