BIG FOLDERS: Knives over 4" Inches

CRKT M21 G10 folder. I've had one for some time and absolutely love it. The blade is just under 4" (3.875ish)

Here's one that doesn't get much press. It's a budget priced absolute tankoif a knife. It's made by Hallmark Cutlery and is from the Bad Blood line. The designs are from custom maker Sean Kendrick. This one is a manual flipper named Fire Splitter. Sean makes a custom version of this knife that is quite impressive. It's almost 5.5" closed and 9.5" open. Weighs a ton and is very robust.

Here is a crappy pic.

I recently received a Bad Blood Dreadnaught and I'm pleasantly surprised by the overall quality.

I was working in a cigar store before I got into knives and we sold Blade magazine along with a few others. I saw the BM 741 onslaught, and have loved knives ever since. Oddly, benchmades and spydercos are now being replaced by GEC knives, but I still, and always will, love that onslaught..Even at 8 oz. I don't mind it, it's just awesome. Dead camera so no photo now sorry..

I've recently had an itch to get some stupid big folders. Partially because of their usefulness and partially just because they are cool! What are some knives that are OVER 4".

All I know of are:

Emerson UBR Commander
Probably a lot of Cold Steels

The biggest l own is a Custom made Gil Hi ben Lock back folder with a 6 inch blade ; 2 inches wide. The Handles are 8 inches . The entire thing is 14 inches overall. Weighs 2 pounds. Has a clip point blade made of 440c

CS Vaquero Grandé. circa 2007
6" Serrated edge in VG-1
Weight: 6.4 oz.
Inertia openings are ridiculously easy.
Found it for $40.00 on craigslist and it is near-mint. CS even sent me a new clip for it, no charge.

I find it a bit odd that some think 4" is a large blade. My EDC is a CS Serrated Large Vaquero with the 4" blade. Fits my hand like it was made for it and the blade length doesn't seem too long. CS does not make them anymore, so I bought a few in serrated and PE
I also have the CS Vaquero XL Serrated which is 5.5" - I would like to see a "hybrid" Vaquero at 4.75" with a serrated edge. I would be all over that.

Can you tell I like serrated blades? Those things will shred and rip instead of leaving a nice, clean cut.

I've also carried my Vaquero Grandé and it wasn't intrusive at all. Although when my Washing Machine broke and I had to go to the Laundromat, my little box of detergent got stuck in the chute. You should have seen all the looks when I inertia deployed the 6" blade to retrieve my stuck little box of detergent!
