what is the biggest knife you have used or would use for everyday carry. Incude weight and blade length or just the knife model. btw mine is a cold steel voyager xl tanto...never again will i do that, my prefered size is 2.5oz and about a 2.5 inch blade

Biggest so far is just 3.54 inches in an emerson horseman. It wasn't too big, was pretty hefty though. My preferred EDC right now is my BM 940, 3.4 inch blade, 2.9 ounces. I'm looking into a spyderco sage 1 though as well. =]

Hahaha :D

Mine would be the same in clip-point, I don't mind it but I'm used to stuffing my jacket pockets with cameras, flashlights, change, rocks, flotsam, bent pieces of metal and even a crowbar once or twice...

I prefer folders around 4 inches though, although I don't mind going less. My average EDC is about 3.5 inches.

Would carry a traditional Ka-bar utility/fighter on deployment about 12oz and 7in blade. For maybe a week I did a Vietnam Tomahawk but its too bulky to actually do real work with it attached to your person. Always have had a 4inch blade 3.5-4.5oz folder on me even if I have other bigger or smaller knives on me also - good reason a lot of the best user folders and fixed blades are this size or close to it.

My EDC now is a Benchmade 710. Personally I prefer the 3.5-4" knives. I don't think anything with a blade over 4" is practical to carry.

gonna give a rajah 2 a shot when it comes in tomorrow.

I have EDC'd my bk2 but the largest folder is my spartan

It really depends. When I'm wearing scrubs I find anything over 5 oz to be obnoxious. WIth jeans I can comfortably carry just about whatever. I regularly carry my Fox Deimos with a 4.25 inch blade that weighs about 7 oz.

For me weight isn't an issue. I honestly can't tell or am bothered by a couple of ounces one way or the other. As far as size I find something in the 4" range the most comfortable. I've carried larger folders too and don't necessarily have a "rule" as to size. I think if it's comfortable and meets your needs then that's what matters

I carried an Endura so 3.75 inches. I prefer whatever I can get in a handle under 5". So usually anything under 3.75.

I rotate between a Spyderco Military, Para 2, and Manix 2. Recently I've been carrying my military, though.

Usually a DDR HD Maxx with a 5.5" blade.

I'm EDC'ing a Benchmade Adamas, so, large is something I'm comfortable with.

Biggest so far is this CRKT M21 at 4", but it is a hair larger than what is comfortable for me.

I prefer something barely smaller such as my Barrage.

I dont know if this counts but when i was like 8 or 9 i found a Fixed blade in a sheath in my grandpas shed. I carried that thing for like a week. I made forts, cleared pathes in woods until i got caught :(. The biggest knife i wound carry is eather manix 2 xl or military.

Some people edc ESEE-3s (OAL 8") in their front pockets. A fixed blade around that size would probably be the largest I'd want to go without a belt. ( Hey, you never said this thread was limited to only folders... ;))

Cold Steel XL voyager here too. But mine is pre-triad lock, so it's only 5 ounces. Quite a bit of blade for the weight. I think the new triad lock versions are like 8 or 9 oz.
