Biggest Knife for EDC?

THe biggest knife i have carried is the CS recon tanto. THe next biggest, heavyest knife i have edc is m16-04Z doesnt hanve the auto lawks, I love the knife, but have seemed to missplaced it. I also carry a buck strider i shaved some weight off the blade and its now a full flat ground.

Been carrying a Spyderco Resilience for the last week or so - 4.25 blade, 5.4 oz. Takes up some space in the pocket but isn't too bad to get around.

I EDCed an FS for two years! But that was a long time ago. My EDCs are tiny little things now!

The biggest i edc is my CS Spartan but it tends to be overkill after a few days. I carry an Endura or Pacific Salt mostly but i got a new Benchmade 810 Contego recently and have really been enjoying it. Usually i accompany my large blades with a SAK or Ladybug in case im around non-knife friendly folks.

Cmon, anybody ever rock the Cold Steel Extra Large Espada 7 1/2" blade? I'd love to see how that fits in my pocket, I'm sure it would.

A large Sebenza is about the most length I'm comfortable with for EDC.

Cold steel spartan is biggest edc. It's relatively comfortable as long as I don't keep anything else in the pocket it's in. It means I have to move my cell phone somewhere else. Recently, I've replaced the spartan with a contego and haven't looked back. It's much more comfortable to carry without giving up much blade size. I still bring the spartan along on hikes or if I plan on needing something bigger. I've often used the spartan as a machete to thin out branches on hikes, the contego doesn't perform as well in that area. The spartan also makes for a fun conversation piece every once in a while. I wouldn't go any bigger...welll.....except for maybe a spec elite II. They're amazingly easy to carry for how damned big the thing is.

I edc'd a Ka Bar Mule, weighs 0.5 lbs, has a closed legth 5 1/4" and an open length of 9 1/16" the only reason I stopped is because the pocket clip broke and it became too much of a hassle

Spyderco Resilience
5.25" closed and 5.4 oz (from their site)

It never felt like a big knife but I prefer to carry a ZT0200 or 0560 just to help me lean to one side.

I usually carry a folder with a cutting edge of 3.5 to 3.75. Weight doesn't bother me. I like a folder that weights at least 5 ozs. I have a custom ti folder with a .208

blade and .220 ti that weights 10 ozs. that I carry quite often. I carry a fb in my rf pocket with a blade length of 3.0 to 3.75....not at the same time as a folder.

Biggest knife I ever EDC'd....
Biggest - Spyderco Resilience.
Heaviest - ZT 0301.
Beefiest - ZT 0301.

I now EDC a Large Sebenza and a Spyderco Chaparral, perfect EDC for me.

Biggest is my Military.
Heaviest is my Tuff.
Sometimes when working I will even keep my Fallkniven F1 on my belt. (Working in wilderness areas.)

It really depends on how I'm dressed and what I'm doing, but usually I would prefer to just have something small like my Delica on me.

I prefer 3.5"-4" blades generally, the smallest I'll edc is a Para 2 or Manix 2 just because I love the designs so much. As far as biggest I rotate between: ZT 200 and 560, Spyderco Military and Manix 2 XL, Benchmade 810, 710, 805, 806, Adamas. I tried carrying a Kershaw Leek and Spyderco Delica for awhile, but just didn't like having such small blades.

I dont understand the need for something as big as the cold steel voyager or espada, or even as big as the spartan, they are cool looking and really intimidating, but is there anything you are going to need a blade that huge for that cant be done with a 3.5 inch swiss army knife?
