Bikers post here.

The bike needed 150 bucks in parts and right as rain

Clutch lever ,shifter , hand guard

plasric was in touched

I'm healed and good to go ....it was four weeks ago

If I would have layed this one down it would be a mess

On my trip last month through the middle of Idaho:

Just got it running again after sitting for 4 years, took a while to heal from broken back and pelvis. Replaced all the hoses, cleaned the tank, replaced the petcock filter, rebuilt the carb. Running like new.

The docs kept me off the bike for the last 18 months and it'll be another 18 before he'll even consider releasein' me to ride again. Them big road sofas ain't light, comin' in dry at 800+ lbs, once you add my junk and my ass we're just north of half a ton so he wants to make sure I can hold it up. :rolleyes

So I've been stayin' away from this thread, my thread on Mack's thread, lookin' at everyone ridin', and everyone's rides is makin' me sick. I'm so friggin' envious, this is the longest I've been off the bike, usually as long as there's no snow or ice I road.

Dave I think that's what I'm gonna do, cleanup and fixup all the little crap that needs tendin' to so when I get back out in the spring of 2018 if very thing heals right I'll have a rebuilt Road Sofa. :)

Hang in there Ted! You'll be back in the saddle in no time buddy. Gives you time to put some tlc into your ride too. :)

Nice looking bike, hope you get to ride sooner. I talked to a guy on the VTX page and he had a take off set of seats he's sending me for the postage. Pretty cool. Next is the speedometer its melted. Gotta get some saddle bags too, total pain in the ass not having them.

I used my bike like a car, I ran my daughter back and forth to school from 6th- 11th grade on the bike, she loved it, she was my ridin' buddy. :) I did my shoppin' on that bike, I could fit a weeks with of groceries, TP & PT, ice, beer and gas for the tractor on the bike, I used to get some strange looks.

Joe I love the camper.

Got my new tires on finally today.

14225524_10211206782791849_8925465233656272515_n.jpg

Congrats. I love the looks of new tires, but I hate paying for them. I'm not mechanical so have them installed by the shop. My old shadow got 11k+ per set. But my current Fury only gets 6-7k, and they're more expensive.

It didn't have enough go, so I got her a gsxr 750, thats my easy going Honda VTR1000 it had regulator rectifier issues, but a lot more comfortable than the RC51 or R6 before it.

Day-yum! Wish my wife rode. I'd buy her a Ducati in a heartbeat. Came close a few years ago. We went shopping and found a little HD Sporty that fit her (5' well under a buck). But then she decided to just stay on the back seat. She probably has 5k miles on my tiny back seat with almost no padding.

Recently sold this one, 1998 HD Heritage softail that I custom built and painted. I had a 2011 Hayabusa prior for almost 3 years.

Just thought I'd post a few pictures of my biker babe!

ya know, this is the best picture in this thread. it's basically a good shot, both of the subject and the background. but there's something in the way she flatfoots her foot, telling you she's an expert rider.

Ha! She rides on the back pretty good. Even better now that I got a sissy bar.

The image is showing up as broken for me. I looked at the code, and I think this is the one you're talking about?

I like that one too. We actually won free tickets to meet the guys from Full Throttle Saloon with those pictures. :D

Unfortunately I had to sell this a couple years back, and am still bikeless. Just saw this pic again, and thought I'd share. 2010 Fat Boy, and I don't like the running boards so I took them off and re-pegged it:

And it was this fellow who inspired me to ride when I was little:

Would like to get a Sportster 48 with a side car I can put my skis in.

Have had a dozen from mini bikes to several motocrossers and street bikes, even a four-wheeler for hunting. Now I have a 2004 Kawasaki KX250 mx'er, and a 2016 Yamaha Fz-09. The Fz has so much torque that if you let off on the throttle too abruptly it feels like I'm going over the bars. I had an '85 Honda Shadow 1100 which was great for traveling or just tooling around. The Fz is a handful, it has lots of personality, especially for a rider 56 yrs old. It's a blast to ride.
