Bikers post here.

Converge, that SV650 should be a great choice. Every time I sit on one I want one. If I could afford a second lightweight, play bike that would be on the short list. Have fun!

So my W650 Kawasaki from a few pages back is gone, and was replaced with a 2001 Triumph Tiger. Last month I rode it from CT to western MT and back, camping all the way. It was awesome!

Great! I love me some Kawasaki green, and that thing has some quite sexy eyebrows! ;)

It's a Triumph, actually. The color is hideous my but it has grown on me. I sure as hell don't lose it in the parking lot! I got it after selling the Kawasaki. The Triumph Tiger 955i from 2001-2006 is nicknamed the "Girlie" Tiger because of the eyebrows - LOL

Being a bit older, it needed some maintenance before the trip; new chain, sprockets, tires, charging system issues sorted out. Ran like a champ for the whole trip - 6000 miles in about 12 days. Since his is BF, cutlery for the trip was a Spyderco Sage 1, a Victorinox Spirit X, and a Condor Hudson Bay ( for firewood).

Thats a beauty. By coincidence, I lingered at a used Tiger when visiting a dealership the other day. I like it but might prefer the Speed Triple. In the looks department that is, as they are of course vastly different bikes.
Im more of a touring guy myself but the Triple is so damn gorgeous looking.

Quite an abode you got there. Thats about two times bigger than my tent.

Fun thread!
Been riding since I was 11, like a lot of us I started on the Honda 70 Trail. My EDR nowadays is this 78' xs650. It was built in June of 78' and I was born in July of that year. Picked it up about 15yrs ago off of the original owners son.
It was stolen 5yrs ago by my crackhead neighbors. They beat the hell out of the chrome trying to shove the bike in their apartment. It lived with them over a year, I suspect once they sobered up they realized selling the bike across the street from the owner might be problematic. After they got arrested for something else the apartment owner found my bike and recognized it.
After spending too much time chasing rust on the cracked chrome, I got tired of polishing more than riding and started having fun with high temp black spray paint.

Picked this up 11 days ago and haven't driven a car since. I took it on a trip through Oregon this last weekend putting in 620 miles in two days. I added a Puig windscreen before the trip, and it transformed the bike. Next step is a fender delete to get rid of the godawful jiggly mess on the back of the bike.

My roadking before I changed seats.

That is a nice RK! Hey 5seven, what's the smaller speedo for? Is that a tach?

It's amazing the aero dynamics provided by a tiny screen even in the rain!

A few pics from this years Utah Ride for Fallen Officers. A pretty good turnout even though the route kind of sucked.

Just got it running again after sitting for 4 years, took a while to heal from broken back and pelvis. Replaced all the hoses, cleaned the tank, replaced the petcock filter, rebuilt the carb. Running like new.
