bin laden is gone

40 SEALS were in involved in the operation. Osama took a shot to the head as well as a few other places. The important thing is ,no U.S. special ops people were injured. By the way. They have his body too.

Uh got news for you buddy, and your news is the wrong news. There were 40 Navy SEALS involved but none of them got hurt because only one guy went into the compound and took everyone out. And by the way, I didn't put a bullet in Bin Laden's head, I lopped it off with my Fusion Battle Mistress............Yep, you got it, it was a piece of INFI that took him down. Told all of you not to underestimate this steel.

Excellent news to hear, big thanks goes out to the greatest fighting forces on this planet for putting this dog down!
Thank You:thumbup:

Yeeee Hawwwwww!!! This is the greatest news of the year!!!!

We'll be drinking heavily today!

10 yrs is a long time to evade capture or death. We should have been able to get him much sooner imo,I guess late is better than never. One thought, the danger lies in him being viewed as a marter, which will probibly happen. This is not over yet, lots of "little ones" commin up to take up the fight, which is not good.My two cents.

100% right.

Man, what great news. This sounds like something out of a movie, I cant wait to hear how it all went down. This is some serious Spec Ops action, probably a team of Jason Bourne type operatives, or maybe something from a Tom Clancy novel. Hopefully no friendly's were harmed, but good job and a Victory for the Free World.

I really hope theres a mission in the next Call of Duty game in which you stealthily sneak into the compound, take out the guards with silenced weapons, locate Bin Laden and take him out. Id love to do that!

I'm deleting my post due to it being offensive to some on the forums. My son has fought these people, as have many friends, some who have not come back, and some who have come back with lead still in them.

I should say that's great news...but it isn't really. While he definitely deserved the death he received and then some, IMO, violence begets violence which will surely beget more violence and so on. While I commend our Nation, and many other Nations for never giving up, he's had 9 years and almost 6 months to plan for this. And surely the US will be "to blame" in those fanatics' eyes and so we will most surely be targeted again...

...But at least he won't be around to see that. However, for those traveling abroad this summer and for quite some time after that, be vigilant and always aware of your surroundings.

My sincerest & humblest thanks goes out to all the active military service men & women abroad and here at home, as well as to the intelligence community for finally zeroing in on this terrorist fanatic and putting him down for good. Thank you.

God bless America.

Keep it civil on this thread. NO POLITICS or I'll lock it.

It's good to see reason ... and a calm head. I expected this from Jaxx.

Yes, our federal government is telling us UBL is gone. That is a good thing, but hardly a cause for rejoicing.

I make it a habit to never rejoice when someone has died. Even someone who has done the terrible things he did.

I wish I could say we just won the eponymous War on Terror. But that would be a lie.

someone showed me a picture of bin laden, dead, 2 head shots, one in the left eye
sure it's making the internet rounds

The only thing they should have done different is to cut open a big pig and sew his body up inside so he would be "defiled" for eternity. This Brits did this when fighting in Egypt and Sudan in the late 1890, they would then let a few go back to tell what had been done... The Jihadist didn't want to die defiled and not get their 72 virgins. They use our freedoms and constitution against us to spead their Shariah law in the US... Yet we fight by the rules of warfare.. I guess that make us "civil" Glad my dad didn't have the same rules of engagement when he was in the Pacific during WWII. Anyways, Great Job Seal Team 6. One big fish down, many more to go.

My wife is Sudanese

im glad hes gone,,but i think someone should lock this thread down before it gets out of hand..

Amen, adios mothaf*cka! I hope crabs are eating his eyes right now. I want to do a big pigroast every year on the first of may in that area of the ocean, maybe take a huge dump in the water nearby, just for him!

Symbolic victory for US at best. If we had gotten him in Tora Bora it might have had an impact. Now it will just recruit a few more suicide bombers and add fuel to the calls to "bring the boys home", without really finishing the mission. America does not have the public commitment to win.

Can I add that I would have preferred someone other than a bunch of smashed GWU students being the face of America's reaction for the world?
