Photos Bird and Trout! Let's See 'Em!

Sprig, my favorite camp knife. Great in the kitchen also. You can surgically debone with it.

Wouldn't it be nice after 12 BF Traditional folders to have a fixed blade at least once in the history of BF's knives? A Bird & Trout fixed blade would be perfect. We've talked about this before but never had enough support, maybe 2018 will be different. I'm gonna have to start a thread so as not to hijack this one but keep it in mind and I'm gonna link this thread to mine so folks can see what a nice B&T looks like.

Kinda obvious that I would support that.

Not sure if this counts but then there always seems to be more leeway in fixed blades among the traditional set.
It's a a handy little knife, the blade is almost exactly as long as my pointer finger, slicey, thin and nimble. I think it fits the spirit of the B&T quite well.

Love the bird and trout, being both a bird hunter and an avid fly fisherman... sadly, I'm without a dedicated B&T right now. The Hess Fish and Bird looks awfully tempting and I suspect I will end up with one in the future. In the meantime, I've been doing fish with an Opinel Slim, and splitting bird duty between folders and this Landi PSK. The convex edge does a good job on leg and wing joints, and the 1095 holds a nice enough edge to do all the birds we bring down - here it is, all tuned up for the first pheasant hunt of the season tomorrow morning :D
