Photos Bird and Trout! Let's See 'Em!

JK stretched Bluegill is my favorite. Such a useful style of knife.

This Queen City model 82 (1925-1945) is a very handy knife with fish and fowl (and rabbits); the Queen Steel model 52 (1958-1960) has yet to cut fin, feather, fur or flesh, but it would handle them just fine, I believe (though I prefer a fixed blade for fish).

- very sleek one I bought at the Durban Easter Knife Show from the late, warm and charming, Bill Burger - RIP my friend

Oh wow!

That's really something! How flexible is the blade? It looks a bit thicker than a fillet knife, or at least the off-the-shelf ones I'm used to.

Looking at these blades is fantastic! Vaporstang Vaporstang -that Inyoni slays me, I recall the disdain for it I had when it came out, now I wish I had two:rolleyes:. Everybody who posted up their TK-11's: thanks. Tom's work is always enviable, the 11 has to be one of his most popular models, he offers it in three blade styles: standard(whatever you want to call the style), tanto, and a tremendous wharncliffe version.
Thanks, Neal

Thanks Neal! I actually just sold the TWO that I had last week! I wish I had known you were interested. The Inyoni actually reminds me of fishing with my Dad and brother way back in the day, even though it wasn't around back then. But it was time to pass them on for others to enjoy...

cbach8tw cbach8tw - What is that 2nd knife in your first picture, with the muslin micarta? I've seen that knife posted several times in this thread. Looks great!

These aren't as graceful as the slender beauties that have been posted in this thread (and they are beautiful and clearly very functional). Rather, these are what I am actually packing today for an annual pheasant hunting trip to South Dakota this weekend. The decidedly utilitarian selections for the field are: Case Sodbuster Jr., Gerber Gator, Grohmann DH Russell #3s, and Gerber field shears (which I'll probably leave back at the farmhouse). Only the Grohmann seems to fit the classic B&T model and I have a few others that do, but they aren't making this trip so far from home (and in TSA/baggage handler control).

Greentrout, the second in the first picture is an LT WRight Coyote in snakeskin micarta. It is D2 Steel.

IMG_6618.JPG I don't know if this quite fits, but it would certainly get the job done! It's a Tom Krein mini-8, or TK-mini 8, or just mini 8. Cpm 3V. Brilliant knife for all sorts of work, really.
Thanks, Neal
