Bird Knife

Hope some others get out to enjoy some time afield and make some memories.
Dutch and I are going before dog training starts Tuesday, O'dark thirty, we will only get about two hours in before I have to stop and go shoot duck flyers for everyone coming to training. I'm going to have a 116 along and give it a try breasting any that I get.

Dove opens here 30 minutes before sunrise on Saturday, September 5th. I plan to be there with several buddies. Good luck all. OH

OH, great! Do you see mostly Mourning? Or some Whitewing?
Here the mix is about even. Opens 9-1. Then Bandtail pigeon later.
I think I'll carry Buck's Trapper the first day. I have the 317 ready as well. Good luck.

99% Mourning Dove, occasionally a White Wing makes an appearance. Our regulation allows for a mixture but you can count on all Mourning Dove. OH

David, Pretty sure that is what I will use. I also have a 16GA Browning Citori O/U that my wife gave me for Valentine Day ten years ago - really enjoy shooting that shotgun but normally I only use it for Upland Game - Bobwhite quail and pheasant. OH

Ok, thought so. Pj has a Benelli super mag with carbon fiber stock.
I'll be shooting 1 oz. #8's. DM

Not a lot of knife work to do on doves. Once you slice or push thru the wings.
On. Collard and Bandtails their skin is tough and it comes in handy on them. DM
