BK-19? UPDATE: SIGHTED AND PHOTOGRAPHED!

Cool. mod. I think the hardest thing with a 'muk is getting the tip up at or above the spine. Hard to do with a mod because everything gets really thick, or there's no steel there without shortening things a lot.

You just had to do that again, didn't you ! Lol

How about a rendering of BK-10ish Muk & a tweener muk ? It would be a great set.

I’d like to see a straight up tactical knife for the BK19. Here’s my crappy mock up using the Tops US Combat Knife and tweener scales…

A Becker Muk line of knives with lineage to past and existing models would be great.
I've already got a nickname of the line - The BecMuks.
With that out of the way, we just need Ethan and KaBar to start cranking out the knives.

A 'muk should, IMO, have it's tip at or above the spine. Otherwise it's just a hump-point. Hard to mod a Becker to get there without getting really weird (tho I do like Knifejunkie's mod, don't get me wrong).

I'm holding out for the BK25 - S35VN and micarta version of the BK15...
I'd be happy just to have the 15 back in any form. I guess that turned out to be my grail Becker...
Personally, I would like to see what a tweener collab between Ethan and William Harsey would look like; the 18 with JJ is a great example of what happens when Ethan lets someone else influence blade design. Most of my favorite Beckers are collabs or sanctioned reproductions: the 12, 14/24, 15, 18, RBK and of course, the Kephart. If we're just grinding steel here, blade height a little taller than the 16, length of the 15 and a Harsey designed blade with more and more gradual drop to the point, more sweep to the belly and while we're at it, create the cutting edge/handle angle for some cutting board use finger clearance - though maybe it should be two asks. Also, D2 anything. At least it rusts more slowly than the 1095 in my salt air environment - and it isn't that hard to keep sharp.

i'd love to see a BeckMuk but Ethan apparently told me ages ago, he loathed the concept as much as Scandi knives. so... not gunna happen?

i have an example of one of the earliest and imho best authentic Nessmuks, made by Raquette "Dale Chudinki" - and several others, some home made, one made in an 1850s style that some khukri dudes had commissioned. it's a very specific thing imho, and should be done up right - it's not just a humback skinner.

Mr J Dietz of some known fame has a model or two that i like as well (and bought one of even lol)

i'm kind holding out to a large stout chopper, embiggened, thick square spine, the knife that the north american oak forests needs.

I saw a knife marked BK19 when I met Uncle E at the SHOT show. I haven't be keeping up enough to know I was looking at something special. Now I know I'm going to get flamed for no pics! For all I know, I would get in trouble for even describing it.
