Dangit, 'Hoss, now I totally want to make one of those with a higher tip and slight 'guard' area... out of 1084, but I'll need to use the kiln to heat a piece that big.
I really like the sand blasted finish after lightly knocking it down with some steel wool.
I may just keep the factory scales on this one. I like the 4 with the factory scales, but the 5 feels better with micarta to me.
A little etching to help preserve the logos for sandblasting.

That bk20 logo you see is around 2 hours. I'm guessing 6-8 hours should be sufficient.
