That's right, Sh@rp is sending me a set of scales (pics in his project thread) for a passaround.
Limiting it to 10 people.
By signing up you are agreeing to these simple rules:
  • you already have a Becker they will fit on.
  • if you lose them, you'll replace them. (same goes if the post office loses them between you and the next person)
  • You'll have them on the way to the next person within 10 days of receiving them.
  • you won't alter them.
  • you will post up a review and/or feedback.
  • You will ship to the next person USPS priority mail (or international equivalent) with delivery confirmation (free if you order postage online) and share the DC # with me & the next person.
  • you have PM and/or email active so you can be contacted.

Passaround is limited to Gold members & above (mods included) who have been members of BF since February 1, 2011 (or earlier) with at least 100 posts as of today. Once I have the list, I'll contact those on it for their name (forum & real) address, email, & a phone number, then I'll rearrange it to take geography into account. (for example, if anyone in Europe wants in, they will be at the end of the list because of shipping times across the pond)
As soon as you get the scales, PM or email me and I'll get you the name and address of the next person in line.

To be fair to the folks who are already asleep, the signup will open at 8PM Greenwich Mean Time (3PM Central Daylight Savings time in the US) on Tuesday, May 3.

Sorry this is so long, trying to cover as many bases as i can think of and this is my first passaround. If it goes well, who knows? I may do another with a BK5... :D

Confirmed contact info:

bump - signup is open if anyone is interested in trying before buying.
Depending on interest, I may be able to open this up to 15.

sign me up!

I would love to include you, but you have to show Gold for this one.
I've got you penciled in as a provisional, if you upgrade your membership by the time the passaround is ready to start, you're in.

Gold? why is Gold necessary?

I would love to give them a go if you are willing.

scales showed up today!

the scales moved the balance point on the BK12 back a little bit (even after taking the weights out of the handle)
would probably be perfect on a 7 or 9.
the fat grips moved the balance point on the BK6 back better than 2"!
If you have large hands, they're not bad as they are. OTOH, with some contouring and a little hollowing out, they could be very comfortable. (fat grips posted purely for comparison - they're not part of this passaround)

That's right. Those extra scales are not part of this passaround. Hope you enjoy my friend. Thanks for everything. Cheers!

Bump -- still time to sign up for this -- I'll be closing the signup down on Wednesday.
Those who are already signed up, please email or PM me with your contact info (real name, BF name, address, phone number, email) so I can start getting things arranged.
thanks for the interest!

I have one person who has emailed me with his contact info.
I would really like this to get these scales into some hands other than my own.
Slapper - these will be heading your way Tuesday.

This is my second review of these scales. The first disapeared into cyberspace. You would have liked it, It had pictures, well thought out points, and was really quite nice.

This time I will list my thoughts, and then post a bunch of pictures about my findings.

1. The scales are beautiful, I don't want them to leave.
2. They are heavier- Heavier choppy good
3..The bolts are too short for a BK2- but the factory ones work, and look better with the factory blade coating.
4. They will work with the factory BK2 sheath- It will hold upside down. It clicks in, and is much easier to remove from stock sheath
5. They are photogenic- I have taken some of my best pictures of these(Although they still suck).

Stay tuned...I will immediately post pictures to prove what I have stated, as well as some other pics(including Pics of them on a scale).
