First off--

The Wormanship on these grips is OUTSTANDING

I can not stress that enough!!!!!

I replaced the Grips on the BK-2 and did some cutting and chopping.

These grips make the BK-2 too handle heavy and hurt the hand while chopping

I tried to attach the handles to the custonm but the bolts are not long enough

But the Custom felt much better in hand but I'm sure they woulds have hurt more when chopping.

I feel the Grips would be better off being made out of a lighter weight material(Rubber,Lexan, etc)

The Aluminum transmits too much shock while chopping and adds too much weight.

If you could make these Grips out of other material--I think you could sell a ton of them.

Sincerely

Dr.Bill

Thank you for your review, my friend. Your input is highly appreciated. When I have time later, I'll make some with different materials.

I know you have heard it before--but your work is outstanding

I would like to see these Grips in different Thickness's as well

Is that possible??

Thanks for the kind words! I can make them thicker but not much thinner due to the screw's head and the use of the lock nuts. However, I can make them lighter if I hollow out the back. Just more work and drive up the cost. Beside, it's a compromise when you make "one size fit all" scales. When I made these scales I had only the BK77 on hand, so most of the decisions were base on the BK77. And from this pass-around I grain most valuable feedback like yours and others in this forum which I learned a lot from. Thank you all my friends.
