A cleaver sound really interesting. Maybe a Hudson Bay like camp knife, too! That's something my grandpa had with him when we went camping together about 20 years ago, but it got sold or lost somewhere in his move down this way. It is the one I always remember.
 
How about a Becker gladius? :D

Also, with respect to the cleaver, I'd give it a bit more of a curve, and a longer tang coming off of the handle.

Thanks. Yeah, that would look pretty cool. Dang cleaver was driving me nuts. I just couldn't come with anything "decent" looking. This is as close as I got.

This is one friggin sweet. I would seriously consider having this made, How about one with a shorter swedge and a thumbramp? Or somewhat same style but a skinner blade?

I think when I have a machax made I want to include the flatspot from the brute

I can give you an actual cad drawing of it, which would be easier to print. I already have the BK2 drawn, I would just have to elongate the blade.

Yeah but the BK9 has a wider blade. Can you widen it up to what it would be on a BK9?
