BK10 Limited Edition Mods

With all these thumb ramp removal posts I had to do my BK7......came out sweeeet

Will get some pics after I clean it all up, my BK7 has been threw alot this week
 
Damn man, I was thinking the same thing. I liked the ramp on my 7, but seeing all these has me wanting to grind it. Looking forward to seeing your pics Flexxx.

sorry guys....

I just got my bk10 in today and I think I'm going to become a purist and leave it as is........ for some reason I just like it like that........

or at least that's how I feel today, tomorrow or another day those feelings may change, but I doubt it.. :)
 
Ok guys. Im swinging for the fences on this one and this is it SO FAR. I sanded down the clip point and added file work, then removed (most) bluing since it looked like crap after the file work anyway. The next steps for her are squaring the spine (as you can see its uneven but im outta sanding belts so I have to wait for my next shipment), then touching up the file work, then rebluing, polishing it (no where near mirror but just shinier, and bocote scales with a wicked pattern. As always feel free to comment or criticize I like to hear yet. Im bound to hear something about these mods since it is an LE but im all ears guys let me have it.

cut the guard done quite a bit and opened up the curve a little behind said guard, ground couple more notches in the spine and took tha clip point down to make a nice spearpoint. got to convex it a bit yet too. Hopefully i will order some handle material this week. :thumbup:

I really dig the cut down guard, I have considered this for my 7 and 9....

This is the closest ill ever get to making my own knives. Im really passionate about making them my own. I just hope ethan doesnt mind me partly living out my dream on his blades

I doubt he will, he's a knife modder too. I like what you've done to it.
 
Thanks. This is gonna end up being my hunting knife now that the point came out well. Reminds me of a buck a little bit. like a buck on steriods. The overall package when im finished will hopefuly be elegant but still the crewman pilots survival knife and can still kick ass if needed.
 
Been modding my 10 over the past few days. Ground the thumb ramp down, and added jimping, cut the swedge down, and made a choil. Yes, I know the choil is big, but I have big ass fingers, so keep the smart ass comments to yourself please. Thanks for looking:

really diggin these mods the best so far. although i am partial to the thumb ramp. you use belt or dremel for that?
 
Wow, i these mods are great. I wish I could get a BK10...
It would be cool to see the BK10 with the ramp sanded down, next to a BK2.

Keep up the good work guys.
 
The only thing I've done to mine so far is strip off that factory coating, I got some micarta for it, and some SS hardware ;) I'm hoping to get some more done pretty soon :D
