BK10 Limited Edition Mods

Everyone says to practice on a knife that you don't really care if it gets messed up. I just happen to have an old old old bk10 laying around right now that I might have to practice on....hhhhmmmmmm......;) lol j/k
 
Alright so did some work tonight, squared the spine, re filed decorative file work, re blued, also reshaped the guard a little its a little short and a little thinner now, and starting polishing but couldnt stop. here are the results so far. The wood in the one pic is the stuff im going to cut tomorrow and shape over the weekend for it. Go bk10! This is quickly becoming my perfect knife.

Although many would call that sacrilege, I think that is just gorgeous. It looks like something from a Frank Miller movie lol. Great work man...more inspiration for when I start modding my 7.
 
Im not worried about sacrilege, i have a dream/vision/goal for this knife and once im dont it will see more action than any other.
 
ground the ramp, squared the spine, deepened the leftover notch for a firesteel, and rounded the clip to a drop point.

I LOVE that !!! Great job. I was gonna leave mine as is, but you guys got me thinking for sure. LOVE the choils & the new tip.

In case you guys missed all that, it's not a real mod. I did this in GIMP, to see what it would look like, the way I saw it in my head, although the choil is a bit deep. I was waiting for moose or someone to tell me what an abortion it was, lol, but it didn't happen. Wanted to see what people thought of my idea, although I have no intention of modding my 10. I like it the way it is. When asked what I used for a grinder, I said I opted for a cloning tool. That's a tool in GIMP/photoshop. Guess nobody caught it. The photo I manipulated was a photo I already posted in my "The 10 Is In" thread. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/867484-The-10-Is-In!-(Updated-W-More-Photos) If you notice, the micarta is still new in the bag. I have already taken photos with the micarta on it. Anyways, here's the real photo, and this manip, plus another manip I did, reducing the finger guard, and making it curve more with the grivory scale. Even though it's not real, glad some of you guys liked it. If I were to really do it, the choil wouldn't be so deep, and the thumb ramp wouldn't drop quite so far down either. Sorry if I disappointed anyone.

Eh, it was all in good fun. I do have ideas about modding my Bk's, and I'm very capable, but just can't make myself do it. I only modded my 13 because it was cheap enough. I'm not against modding, on the contrary, I like to see what people come up with. I guess I buy knives because I already like the way they look, etc. But belieeeeeve me, I do get tempted. I'll probably go for it one of these days.

Like I said, I love the way the BK10 looks. If I had the opportunity for another, I may mod it. I would be able to mod my other BK's easier, since this is one of only 180 made.
 
DUDE !!! Thats just not right ! LMAO & i even refrained from finger comments too. LOL I still like it. Don't know if i would do it mine though. Blade seems a little short for that, but what do i know. If you like it & it works for you, go for it.
