Bk10s Available!

I've been putting my 10 through it's paces all day. Wowza, this is rapidly becoming my favorite knife. Granted, some of it could be the new-car effect but only time will tell.

I actually prefer it over my beloved 2. That said, in a survival situation, I would still prefer the 2.

what are people crammin into their 10 sheath pockets? I was a little bummed the ole altoids tin was too big for the stock sheath pocket.

How does the new version slice?

i think it's very slicy for a knife of it's heft. it's surprisingly agile and very versatile. This is what i always wished the 2 was.

I plan on leaving the new coating on, i like it. However, its very rough and seems to get stuck in medium a bit which cuts down on the slicy factor, but i prefer my blades coated and to wear them down naturally.

A multi-tool fits in there nicely. I'm going to make some kydex for mine and hang an ESEE pouch on the front.

Leatherman skeletool cx and a fire steel at the moment.

On a side note about the sheath, Has anyone tried to attach it to molle webbing? I tried mine on my Condor II and seems like my snap is off just a hair at the bottom forcing the webbing to get pinched. Should be 1 inch between each web and also 1 inch from last webbing to the snap. Mine has only 3/4 of an inch from web to snap?
Kind of useless right? Is this normal or what? My tweener sheaths fit perfect on all my backpacks. And also seems like a huge space between where strap connects to sheath and the first webbing?
Just checked my other sheaths. My bk9 sheath has the small space to the snap but not a big deal cause there is plenty if webbing to make up for it. And my machax sheath has the small space to the snap? But my tweener sheaths and my Bk5 sheath are perfect?
Am I being to OCD or to picky? I just don't see consistency between the different sheath models. I like my stuff to fit flush and tight against the pack and use as many webbing straps as possible. Is this just me??
Guess I will be getting out the old needle and thread next time I get bored and try to fix it.

A picture would be helpful to see if anyone has the same dimensions. Are you being to OCD? Yes. The Internet has made almost every one an OCD freak. One of the many majors downsides to the Internet.

I cleaned the micarta really good before I dyed them with a toothbrush and some degreaser soap since I used them a lot before and needed to get all the oils, dirt, and blood off.
After I dyed them I let them dry then I scrubbed them off with a tooth brush again and some soap. I then scrubbed them again with soap the next day to make sure it would not bleed of.
From what I can tell, there is no dye rub off and I use that knife most often. If you need the name of the stuff I used to dye let me know and I will find the bottle. I don't like the rit dye cause it doesn't seem to come out as dark but I think a lot of guys use that too.

I would appreciate that whenever you get the chance. I want some micarta on my 7 but I get tired of the standard colors.
