BK2+ Design

You bring up some excellent points Bladite. I think of these as suggestions that are free, suggestion for things we would love the opportunity to buy. In today's society of litigation many problems arise. If only there were a stipulation for intelectual property as they have and schools for being the property of the school.

schools can try that whole release thing... but several students over the years have come up with briliant ideas, left, made them, and taken off. millions of dollars means a lot of lawyers :) ever hear of vcr plus? MIT lost that one.

Dang, It looks like a no win. Either say what we want and don't get it, or don't say it and nobody knows what we want.:(

Maybe I'll start my own company, lol. Oh well, win some, lose some. No biggie.

Does this mean you're still gonna root for this design, lol?

No, I will wash my hands of it, delete my posts, and....nnnooo I still wan't the shorty. I'm pretty sure it was Moose's Idea anyway.

Yeah, I said I saw it before somewhere. Not my idea at all.

A longer BK-2 would be awesome!
A BK-2 (1/4inch thick) at BK-7 and BK-9 lengths would be sweet!
Could do without the choil though.

Seems most don't care for the choil. I would like to give one a go, for sure. At least be able to try it out. I wish I had the tools and skills to make one.

Not to bump an old thread on purpose, but I still like the looks of my "mod" here.

...i'm a big fan of my edge coming right up to the handle. a choil removes that.

Same here, dude. I like on my blades for the cutting edge to come up right to the handle, for finer work, and, in my experience, when doing things like swinging the knife and cutting rope, the choild will catch on it, and this is the longest run-on sentence evah!! :D

There are some fairly well known knife men that like choils. Jerry Fisk comes to mind....

I like when what I'm cutting comes up to my hand. A guard and no choil ruins that.

Meh, you and Bladite would be the first ones to purchase it. :D

Well I really like the new and improved bk2 :D!! If you were to go for a ramp on the spine I would strongly suggest a cross hatch pattern for a secure and comfortable thumb rest. Just my opinion. :)

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but I still like the looks of the extended BK2 with choil and jimping.
