BK2 Mod - Clipped, and Stripped, and Striped, Oh My! (Photo Heavy)

That is a hell of a mod you got there Dubz. How does she stab now? Like the fist of an angry god I bet.

It was a fist before - now it's kind of a sharpened middle finger. :D

Warrior,

That is one of the most wicked, bad ass blades I've ever seen. You did an awesome job on the mods brother!!

Wow. That's a very pretty knife, Dubz. :D

I love it bro, and it looks damn good. Now, you got me thinkin' this might be something I might need to do. Now, all I gotta do is find a BK2 somewhere.............

Great job, bro.

And nice avatar, about time you put your picture up there, so everyone can see the real you. MiniDubz.

Hell yes it's pretty. I was thinking of your sexy azz when I made it. ;) All kidding aside, you should make one, it's a freakin' beast of a knife. Yes, that's me in the avatar. :D

Very nice indeed .......I never considered a clip for the two.........Looks a whole lot better than I imagined.....

Nice pics too....

Ethan
Thanks Unk, appreciated. I think you should have it made. ;) I originally thought it was perhaps a bit short to be clipped, but after the mock up I didn't think that at all. Even better in real life.

I'm not a clip point fan, but you are changing my mind! That is freaking sweet looking!
Thanks, appreciate that. The 17 made me a clip fan.

I keep coming back to look at this knife. It's really awesome, the whole business.
Nicely done photos too.

Thanks, appreciate that coming from a knife maker.

I agree, the pictures with the micarta are really catching my eye as well!
Yeah, polished would have been nice with the micarta, but just had other plans. Nice thing is, I can still go that route if I wish. One nice thing about bluing, compared to etching.

Thanks you kind sir. Now that I got that BS outta the way, I freakin love it man, I shit you not. It's a beast to hold a 1/4" clipped piece of 1095CV boner producing steel. ;)

It was a fist before - now it's kind of a sharpened middle finger. :D
Haha. :D

Thanks brother, much appreciated. I try to do stuff no one's done before. At least, none I've ever seen before.

Can someone please take a nice photo of the balancing point of a stock BK2?

mine aint exactly stock, but the lil bit of steel Ive filled off shouldnt really affect balance. I can get u some pics tomorrow, need daylight for decent ones. What kinda pics u looking for, In-Hand? Profile? Top view?

With grivory? Im about to unwrap mine to redo it anyway so I can throw the grivory back on it for the pics

Just balanced on the finger is fine. Would appreciate it with the grivory on. Want to see if there's much of a difference. Thanks, appreciated.

I wanted a nice shot, to post on the OP. I forgot to do it before I sent my 2 off.

Oh heck no, that's good enough. Thanks for doing that, appreciated. I'll take a photo after work of mine. I don't think there's gonna be much of a difference really.

What is it called to mod your knife like that to get that Clip point? Like if i ask someone to do it for me ..

I believe it can be called 2 different things, the first being a swedge, and the second being "Now only remove the steel that I colored over, not the shiny parts.... I SAID NOT THE SHINY PARTS!!!!"

On Topic: Now I really need to work on my grinding skills.... And I really gotta save up for a bench grinder....... By the way, I drool every time I look at the first post......

Thanks guys, still need to get that photo taken. But first, I'm off to get lottery tickets...

Great stuff! You've got a very creative style. What did you use to blue it? How does the bluing hold up? What kind of belt and pouch do you have in the photo? The whole thing is bad to the bone.

Thanks. Birchwood Casey Perma blue for the bluing. Haven't used it, so couldn't tell you how it holds up. It will come off though, when used. I modded the stock sheath. Here's a link: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/845352-BK2-Sheath-Mod.-Extremely-Photo-Heavy
