BK2 Sheath Mod. Extremely Photo Heavy

Nope I started it shortly after talking with you guys today. I wanted to do some other things around the house but I just kept thinking about it. I really didn't need much, and yeah what I did need I already had.

You're exactly right. I didn't really have to think at all for this one. You already did the hard part; I just had to copy what you already did.

Great Idea Warrior! I think we'll be seeing more of these running around soon.
Thanks brother, and I think you're right. There will be more. But hey, that's why I posted in detail, I don't mind it at all. I like to see people come up with stuff. I also modded my BK13 today. Turned out pretty flippin sweet. Will post on it later, maybe tomorrow.

Warrior, my Brother, your creativity, craftsmanship and photography skills continue to impress! Very cool mod, man. How's the draw with that rig? I know a lot of BK2 sheaths are pretty tight, but even if you hadn't modded it beforehand, seems like that rig would be very secure and make it easier to draw. Really awesome in any case.

Blues
Thanks Blues, much appreciated. That's one of the main reasons I went with a drop down sheath, I think it's much easier to draw the BK2 down low. I have long arms, so easier for me at least.

Outstanding!!! Love these kind of threads.
Thanks brother, much appreciated. Just modded my BK13 today, and will be doing something with my 9 soon. I'm thinking about just getting a new kydex sheath for it.

Really nice work! Looks really professional and functional. Thanks for sharing.

Here's a few more ideas I had. I tried to post them on the original post, but it won't let you go over 40 photos. If the belt loop ever broke, or the buckle for that matter, you could run some 550 paracord in the eyelets, to make a belt loop to hold you over:

Also, you could run some shock cord through the eyelets on the belt loop, and attach something to it. In this case, I have my emergency blanket in there. Too big to fit in the tin, so it would work this way:

So thats what you were refusing to elaborate on in the chat the other night. I see the need for top-secrecy now. Came out great, brother

Thanks Nadz, appreciated. I need a new project now. I modded my BK13, need to post it, I guess. Need to get started on my 9 as well. Kind of wanting to purchase a kydex sheath for it. Can't really afford to spend the extra cash right now though.

Warrior, here is what I did for my pouch on mine. I just took some paracord that came with a BK11/14 and tied a loop across the BK2's sheath. Since the pouch has a velcro strap on the back this works out great.

I like your new idea with the shock cord also.

wow, thats pretty much all the things i was thinking about doing to mine. love the setup

Wow. I'm impressed bro. That's some first class work. Was that as much fun to do as I think it was?

Looking good MWTIC. Fun set up, isn't it.

Dude; It is! I've been looking for more things to do to it all the time. I put a new leg strap on it today, and it made it so much better. More people need to start making these; that way we can all start trading ideas for 'em. We could call the thread Warrior inspired sheaths.

Wow Brother Warrior, you're ready for prime-time! Your next project should be to design your new maker's mark. :D

A leg strap for a drop sheath is a must have, no doubt.

Next project is to get a new 9 sheath.

Awesome inspiring job! Very creative problem solving that gets me a thinking. Looks like I've got some work to do. I'm going to make a something along your ideas for my BK2 and new BK7. Great thread and love your awesome photos. Keep 'em coming!

Another idea I'd had. Mounting a multi tool to the belt loop:

I just have it tied on with 550 cord:

Next to the 9:

Although it works out well, it is definitely on the heavy side.

Very cool looking, but I bet it definitely comes in a tad heavy. Now you just need a way to put a gun rack on it. :D

Um, well yeah, I guess I could Derek, but don't you think the guns would be kinda small? :D
