BK2 test, the final part (LOTS of pictures)

Wow. She really has earned her retirement. Lookin' good now! I really like that half stripped half coated look. I tried that on my BK9, but somehow the stripper gel crept up a few millimeters under the paint, and so I had to strip the whole blade.

Thanks for the thread!

Yeah, it's earned a rest, I think. You've sold me, though- next paycheck, I'm getting one. A bombproof knife that cuts well? I'm in!

Although I never doubted the knife's abilities and capabilities, these posts certainly helped convince me to purchase one.

busse who?

thats why i am a proud beckerhead #35

$60 and you have a knife on part with 200-300 dollar knives

That was a great visual. And thanks for posting the pic of it cleaned up again! You have a new battle tested knife there. Hard to imagine a normal knife doing what you did in ten lifetimes.

I know I'm late to this party but I just wanted to throw out there that I enjoyed the hell out of all of your destruction threads and especially the great photos.

Does you neighbor appreciate you doing all that to his house and stuff?:)
Thanks for sharing.

That was a fun read. Like everyone's been saying, what a workhorse for $60. Absolute value. Thanks for posting!

That is impressive as hell. I'd already decided on the BK2 (list started at RAT, CS SRK, KBAR, Becker) but this thread for sure settled all doubts that I made the right choice. My god, I went thru the pics again....even crazier the second time LOL

Thanks for the test, breeds confidence in people who aint willing to chance destroying 60 bucks LOL

After going through the thread a couple of times, I think Brad's BK2 actually look so much better after all she's been through. After the cleanup, the BK2 with slight recurve just looks glorious.

Thanks again for the comments, I had a lot of fun doing the tests. I also like how it ended up looking after the tests more than before. Final length? 5" from front of handle to tip, 4.8" from plunge line to tip. It's definitely a little shorter than it was new, but it's hard to say exactly how much. About a week or 2 ago I decided to gun blue the blade just for the hell of it, but it came out ugly IMO, here's how it looks now.

I'll probably put the satin finish back on...

Sweet blade man, love the look of it now. Can I have it?

Sure bro, PM me your shipping address...
