BK2 test, the final part (LOTS of pictures)

It sure does... I sent you back a PM, thanks.
Awesome, for some reason I really like blades that have been previously owned and used. I have a BK 11 that was gdeno's and that is the 1 I won't just casually give away to someone. I guess they have more soul to them or something.

I'll definitely take some measurments for you bro.

Great thread! Love the pics. Now thats a knife with some mojo.:D

Found this thread while searching for a tough fixed blade for my sons upcoming deployment. Was leaning towards an RC-4 or 5 or one of Justins RD offerings but now I gotta consider this one.

The only thing I dont like is grips. Looks slippery when wet. is it? I really like the ESEE scales.

NDJeep, I've never found the Becker handles to be slippery when wet. They have always been fine for me. I have had my Esee-4 for about a year now and just got a BK2. Right now I think I would carry the BK2 if I was in the Military and got deployed to the Sand Box. Mostly because the BK2 is a Sharpened Prybar with finesse! ;)

That was awesome, I was really surprised to see so little damage.
Thanks for doing that

Damn. Just damn.
You're a better man than me.
I couldn't do it, but I'm glad someone did.
I've long been a critic of Noss4's over-the-top stuff, but he always breaks the knife.
It's good to see someone give a knife an insane workout, restore it, and then hand it off for future use.
That's how it ought to be done.

Wow, as I looked at the pix, I was wondering, "Why are you doing this to this knife?!" It's good that you weren't setting out to destroy it, and even better that you didn't! And she cleans up nice, too. Nice to know mine could do such things if I ever really needed to.

Well sir, she arrived today here in Oregon. I went home on lunch to retrieve it and took it back to work to play with it. Changed out the grips to some ka bar micarta. I think Im gonna strip her down and put some Osage Orange wood on her. Gonna square up the spine and probably order up some leather. Sweet knife bro. Thank you, and I'll be sure to put up those measurements you were asking for along with pictures of any mods I do.

you sold me on one. I assume the BK9 is just as tough? I want a reasonable priced chopper.

BK9 is tough and it is a reasonable priced chopper but given it is longer and a bit thinner than the BK2, I doubt it is as tough as the BK2. Few other knives are. The BK9 is tough as nails and I suspect you'll be very happy with one but if your criteria for a chopper is that it must be as tough as a BK2, you have some shopping to do and likely *lots* of money to spend. :)

Awesome, I'm glad you like it! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with that knife, she definitely deserves a makeover. I hope she treats you well.

Basically how it looked when I got it minus the grivory and green tape added.

Stripped on the blade and spine, wanted the coating under the handle. Oh and don't get paint stripper in your eye's, holy shit that hurt
