BK20- Speculation on the 450 units

Maybe you already did - but I would double check. Mine shipped the day after I ordered on the web (received confirmation email from Ka-Bar). This is TOO important to leave to chance and I can't imagine why your order would take longer to process than others. I ordered it Monday and it shipped today.
 
Thanks, I will check in tomorrow with Kbar. Hopefully all is well with my order. With these being my first big beckers I can't remember the last time I was so excited to go chop on some stuff.

All I got were unground chunks of 1095. They're gonna be worth SO much on the collector's market.

450 doesn't seem like much, surprised they're still available. Maybe there were some "extras" laying around after the fact. Maybe for warranty and such...

Hmm...I didn't check my last invoice but so far it looks tax free, although NC makes Amazon charge us tax now.

do you have any idea how long it took us to sell 250 "specials" of another run? and people were flipping them right after? oiy. headaches :D

btw, there might even be a "contest". where one of the rules is "gotta be a beckerhead in good standing, gotta have a current picture WITH your BK21, and ..."

no BK21? no entry ;)

I did, but it was bashed all to crap - pretty disappointing, actually. Nothing else was damaged; so I can only surmise that it was like that when it was put on the knife. I thought about calling ka-bar about to gripe about their QC (;)) but I really hate phones...besides, the knife is staying here & came with a sheath, so that sleeve isn't going to get used again.

i'll have to call the CEO of KaBar myself, incidentally, a family member of the CUTCO clan. they'll be most upset that one of the bespoke, artisinal carboard sleeves made by one of their grandparents by hand, was defective. most likely, they'll want it back, at which point they'll look for stress risers and defects, and issue you a new one, properly lubricated to prevent rust.

hell, Becker. you get a cardboard sleeve, *and*, you get a sheath. unlike a lot of other knives :D
