BK23 Skeleton

Does look like a tiny little 9. Might go nicely with one of those, and a 17.
Hmmm.
Thanks for the sneak peek!

Very intersting indeed. Not a fan of the China part though. lol

Anyway, I asked Ka-Bar what the deal is and they said there is no info nor a release date on that knife yet. So I am not sure what to think. Maybe a promo item or something or the were just trying it out to see if it would be worth making in the USA?

When I hear more, I will let you all know.

PS. No word on the RBK as of today yet either. :grumpy:

Great looking blade until that giant China stamp jumped out. I'm sorry but for the cost of this thing is going to be put at I don't see how its competitive with other options. Very disappointing that they chose China for this knife.

How much is it going to be? I've only seen speculation in this thread of between $10-$25. I've heard no official word and I haven't seen it in the catalog either.

Regarding the Hecho en China: The BK-13 was initially Chinese made as well. I could see where it would be more economically viable to do a production/prototype run in that regards.

A midget king, or "Kinglet"? It has some kind of ring to it, lol :D

Yea! I was thinking maybe midget king or pee-wee king, but kinglet takes the name in my book.

Remora WAS made in china..and they sucked..usa remora much better..hope skeleton not in the same boat..if that is stainless steel would be cool..i like stainless for food prep the remora as small as it is sometimes just dont "cut" it lol

I'm not sure how to feel about this little toothpick.

How long before scales come out for it like they did for the BK14?

I probably wasn't truly clear in my post before but in case any of the "powers that be" are watching...

This knife is so small that they probably had to have it made in China to turn up any benefit

Or child labor has small enough hands to handle the job.

I don't see any scales being released for this. I think it's in the same class as the remora, Acheron, and piggy back. Easy enough to make ur own or cord wrap.

Guys... first, I like the blade, but not sure the handle is right for it. Second, we should let bighoss nic-name this thing.

Hmmm, 'you can't not have a 23'. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it. Still, definite contender for my wife's handbag. Her friends freak out when she gets out her 11. And she loves the 9 too. I can see it now. "Aww how cute! OW! The little sh*t bit me!".

Going by the size diff. from other Beckers, maybe nickname could be BK23 Toothpick
