BK23 Skeleton

If they release it made in USA I'll buy it.
But if it stays China... I feel like Budk will carry it right next to the rest of their Chinese kabar products...

Please, KEEP BECKER OUT OF BUDK!

Awesome! I love neck knives, and one with a little thumb ramp will be fantastic!

I'm definitely getting one. Or five.

I have 3 USA made remora a bk24 and a bk11.
Don't care much for the handle on the bk11, so I'm gonna sell it to fund something else, this bk23 would have been nice, if it gets produced in the USA, then I'll get one, for now I just ordered another bk24.

Checked date hoping this was a particularly sick april fool's joke. Made in china, looks lke it was designed in china, so basically another chinese copy of a becker product. Does Ethan Becker know this exists?

Haha.
Ethan gave it to me.
Apparently Ka-bar is producing it, but it hasn't been released....yet.

Yeah, it sounds just like the first bk13's, which were produced overseas at first, and then moved back to the US (after it had proven popular?).

I've been wanting a Becker friction folder, and it looks like this is my best bet. I just need to lop off part of the handle, and then drill a hole for a pivot. Then I can have a mini, folding bk9 :D.

It's made by Ka-Bar, it's original, so.. It's not a copy, just Chinese. It'll likely be produced in the US eventually if it's popular enough.

It looks almost exactly like a BK9, does the BK9 look designed in China too?

The BK9 is a full size knife. This is either a novelty,letter-opener, or a really bad mistake. I can't see that this piece of china crap has any practical usage, it does make me realize that there are people that would buy a horse puckey if it had Becker stamped on it. I do own about three Becker knives and use them almost daily,I find it disheartening that Mr.Becker would authorize this as it appears to cheapen his line of knives.

So any fixed blade that is small is an impractical letter opener? The Remora was originally made in china, now it's USA, for all we know this is just a prototype and it may end up being USA made very quickly. Don't get your panties in a wad just because it's from China.

It would be on my radar if, and only if, that handle didn't look so insubstantial. I don't know why I am ok with a comparable amount of material on the 14/24, but not so much on this...

Can You show us it's sheath, Jonny?

Thank You.

Endel.

I thought I already posted one, but I guess not.
Sorry so late.
So yeah, it's pretty much the same style as the Remora.
Retention is OK, but I wouldn't trust it hanging from my neck.

Might be picking one of these up. 440C or 8Cr13Mov? It'd been interesting to see this in a heavy use review.

No clue on the steel.
It's seen some light use, but nothing major.
I'll try and do a YT review one of these days....
If its around the same price point as the Achelon and Piggyback I'll pick up a few and just have them as companion knives for the big Beckers.
No clue on aftermartket scales Gassy.
