BK6 Patrol Machete Passaround Discussion Thread

Ya'll feel free to ship it however you feel. USPS, UPS, FEDEX, insured, uninsured, doesn't matter. I will more than likely ship it USPS Priority mail, with delivery confirmation, to Switchblade61 Friday, God willing. After that, whatever ya'll feel is best.

Oh, and don't forget the Pay It Forward part of the passaround too. This something new that I haven't seen on the forums yet, so, I wanna make it good.

Switch will be getting a Kershaw Leek, I gotta stuff in the sheath with the 'chete.

Pay It Forward

Woohooo!!! :D
Great, I like the sounds of that!
The "Pay it forward" part won't be forgotten. :)

(And yes, best way to send to Canada is by USPS. Because UPS, Fedex, etc.. charge brokerage fees to the recipient.)

Alright, it has begun. The BK6 left today, headed to Canada and Switch. I'm out of Leeks, so you got a Chive instead for the pay it forward. Guys, check the list, and email the guys you will be sending it to when the time comes, for the address. I have everyone's contact info, but, at no time will the info be given out, so, its up to you to make sure the next guy gets it.

Switch should get it in about 10 working days, so 2 weeks. Until then, keep on keepin' on.

OK Gentlemen!
I got the BK-6 today. :) It was about time, because I started to worry...
Moose was kind enough to send a very nice, little SS Kershaw Chive along with the machete. Thank you!
I'll try to give a workout for this blade as soon as I can.

YEAH BABY!! Glad to see the Chive made it through customs, remember you got it for 2 weeks. I sent it with some good 'ol USA Tennessee dirt on it as well, in case you wanted a little bit of American soil.

Can't wait to see what you do with it. Remember, post up your actual post in the sign up thread, so we can archive it for later use.

I have noticed the US soil sample on the blade... :D
Moose you have sent it in such a long cylinder, perhaps they thought it was a rifle and that's why it took longer to get by Customs Canada... :D
By the way the little Kershaw is not a Chive, but a Scallion model with aluminum handle scales. :) (They look almost alike.)

that's pretty classy of moose to send a $60 knife :)

course, i'm going to have to report him to international dept of agriculture for sending soil samples out of state without the right forms :) typical!

I thought it said Chive on it. Shows what I know about knives.:foot::D

I picked it up in some "trad'un", and never used it. Not once. LOL. Now the machete, oh, it got used quite a bit.

Nice post by the way.

Moose,
To answer your question http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9347588&postcount=20
here...
I like the BK6 very much. I find it quite a useful tool. It has a nice weight forward balance and it is not heavy at all. I think the length is just right (not too long, not too short), fairly easy to maneuver and still has a good reach. The handle is a typical Becker, so it's comfortable an secure. The sheath is nothing to write home about, but it does the job.

I had some time today to go outside and play some more in the snow...
Part two of the BK6 adventures ("Carnage in the woods") coming up later in the appropriate thread.
Stay tuned!

My ass is glued to the seat. I'm ready, hit me!!:grumpy::D::grumpy::D

The international traveller Patrol Machete is on its way to JV3. Also, I e-mailed the tracking # to him. It should be there in about 4-5 business days.
It was fun to use a BK-6.
Thanks again, Moose!
