the patrol machete is in my hands! first impression: i want one (we need a drool smiley!). looks like i'm taking a mid-week vacation day to give it a test drive...there's no way i'm waiting until next weekend...pics soon.

i'm pissed. it was in a massive round cardboard tube properly addressed both ways for sure. if usps misplaced it it's deliberate
the employee who was there has been working there for years...i'll stop-by tomorrow and ask what's up...sorry moose, guys.

No worries, I'm not pissed at all. Shit happens, I understand, and I would venture so do the other guys. It will show up, if not, well, we have ways, of making things, well, happen. Check up on it, see what's going on, gytheran, see if it might have been delivered to the wrong address. Its all we can do.

i take full responsibility for it. if i lend a friend my car and he totals it i'm not responsible for the damage. it's the same case here...it's between me and the usps right now. i'll keep you updated. i'll make things right as best as i can. mail tampering is a federal offense/felony so hopefully they'll find it or make the employee own up for it.

I appreciate that. Its not that big of a deal, I knew the job was dangerous when I took it. I knew something could happen to the BK6, and its no big deal. I wanted to share, and like I said, we'll see how the USPS angle plays out, who knows.
Seriously, just check with the USPS, and Jay, resend me the tracking info, I'll do my own thing. Us spies have some ways of getting things.

But like Moose says, shit happens. I've had pretty good luck with USPS in the past(much better than FedcrapEx), but you ship/order enough stuff and something is bound to happen.
It can still show up, a friend of mine ordered a hone and in the crappy USPS tracking it started showing up in random cities that made absolutely no sense. Then it just stopped updating. Finally, a few weeks later it showed up. Never did find out what the reason for all of that was.

that's good to know - thanks! i was complacent. i never had a problem with usps before (with that massive package i figured what could go wrong?). the only similar situation ever was when ups delivered my brand new pc to a completely different city/st/zip code altogether a few years back. i should've stopped-by and checked the day after the status didn't change...i might've looked like an a-hole to the employees but better than all this hassle...being a nice guy didn't bring me good schit...sigh.
guys, for whatever it's worth, i included a goinggear firesteel with my own .308 shell as handle, a couple sticks of fatwood, and an orange bandanna along with it. it's a long shot but i'm wondering if those items all together in one package could've set-off some type of detector and they're just scrutinizing the package further? i haven't gotten a no-knock, 3 am visit from homeland security yet but who knows.
