BK62

We all knew the Beckhart was coming - all one had to do was look at the glean in Ethan's eyes when he held his Kephart find.

I wonder how the models number "62" came about.

If I didn't know better (I don't) I would almost think that Fisk had something to do with that hint of a recurve aft, not unlike the BK5.

The big question ... WHEN???

Very nice. I can't wait. Right up my alley. I hope they don't just do a short run on these. I can see them selling a lot of these knives.

Kabar hurry up, I want to be Horace Kephart for halloween...

I can see them selling a bunch of them IF they are priced right. That’s always going to be the hang up with any special production. If they don’t have the economies of scale on their side because they have to specially make the wood scales, the sheath is unique and they can’t just use the standard tweeter sheath, extra machine and hand work to finish it nicely... etc...those all cost but they eat into the consumers perception of value.

Bit of patina, some brass pins... nice brass and leather dangler....

jeez, start talking to someone now and let them know the standard 200 piece sprint run limited edition thing just wont cut it with this one....!

Is is 2018, there are ways to make it happen. It won't be a cheap knife, they just need to hit the price right and WE need to help push the knife by posting pics and reviews like crazy.

If we want new knives we have to help the cause. Who is with me?

I agree we need to push this as much as we can.

This knife has the potential to open a lot doors for Becker and Kabar. This knife will definitely be bought by people who would not normally even look at the Becker line. I see tons of other blade companies outselling Becker and sometimes I think it wouldn't be the case is Kabar didn't make them look so tactical all the time. I think the black paint and handles can scare off a lot the customers.

Looks awesome and I’m in for a few. FYI, that sheath looks to be the exact same as the one used for the Jarosz hunter.
Probably is. The sheath shown doesn't appear to be made for a spear point blade. Wonder if the production model will be the same? It would probably keep costs down.

I was just watching a video where Ethan was showing the original. The sheath that came with it, if original, looks like the one shown here for the new, except for the belt loop.

I agree. The way I see this, if prices cometitively, it could compete with LT Wright, Bark River, etc.... if I were LT, Ethan would scare me right now.

Edit to add- if he adds a Nessmuck and a Hudson Bay with similar fit and finish, for a more traditional line, I’d be flat terrified if I were LT.

Man o Man..look at that comparison! I definitely am in for a few. I can also see this being my go to gift for people in my family. I think a short excerpt to show information on Kephart and his knife will be included in the box each time.

I truly would like to see this shake up the knife world!

Looks great!!! Would be a pleasure to get ahold if one of these ... think you have another winner here Ethan.
