Well the Junglas handle was too wide for my small/medium hand. That's why I sold it. The Becker handle is a good fit for me.

tramontina - I had that nice bunch of all of them in the cart but had to cancel out because the shipping was stupid crazy to here :( with the other stuff in the order it came out to $70 s/h. why I don't know, usps still does flat rate etc. etc

condor / esee / imacasa - the hog sticker style I got (full price, now it's on sale for stupid cheap elsewhere!) feels like I'm working with a butter knife - good on the leafy stuff but almost ineffective at the hard base stalks. not even weight on the end! but I don't cringe when it hits a rock or otherwise gets destroyed. it is a cheaper model and would like to try a better / heavier one? panga? cane?

BK - they make one? I haven't noticed, always get lost in the internets and sidetracked. with porn. jjkg again. sorta.

Ontario - a search here led me to ordering one USGI .mil version! how could it go wrong? crossing my fingers will be good balance sharp/weight/performance/cost/expendability (see rocks)

Gerber - bought years ago why I don't know. was all they had at big box store. maybe sharpened it will work better. saw back is handy but I'd rather Chop / Smash / get my groove on. (yes my neighbors think I'm crazy. first thing when I moved in I built was a bb gun range in the garage :) now we throw axes and knives in the street with the kids)(love it here)(whoa this coffee is damn good)

Haven't seen that. I've seen hammer vs. mossberg and that comes out about the way you would think.
 
cartel beheading with chainsaw was nasty. then guy #2 got it with a dull blade. but way off topic now.
 
You are in Hawaii? I'd think there'd be a decent machete shop there somewhere. Sometimes when the shipping blows, SOMETIMES it works out to find a store that can order it for you and then buy it there in store.

Yah for sure. Usually everything and I mean everything is overpriced and the blame put on shipping, which makes sense but sometimes it's just plain usury / greed because they get away with a passive and captive market.

No box by the door today :( abused the condor some more, picked off 2 more papaya :) think they have enough acid to etch/patina? I gotta' buy some jasco!

it should work, but it's pretty watery.
how about some chinese mustard or wasabi -- that stuff'll strop the chrome off a bumper, it should be able to etch plain steel, don't ya think?

LOL. Never Fails! The Lemon Party is one of my most powerful internet weapons. Just don't go to any actual site ending in .org with that title when you are trying to find that video. I'm serious. DON'T. It's the same thing but taken to the next level. I thought the video (which was from a late night talk show) was all there was, but it gets worse. WAY worse. It's one of those trick sites with a single pic meant to shock. You'll never see grandpa the same way again...
