Here are a couple from Burt Foster, with more to follow. ;)

Fighter
Blade is laminated steel of 416 stainless (outside) and W-2 (center core).
Guard and ferrule are "chaos" pattern damascus with a nickel silver spacer.
Handle is desert ironwood with nickel silver pin and thing hole.
Blade is 8.5" with an overall of 13.5"

Competition knife:
Blade 10" clay hardened W-2 (line not visible in photo)
Guard is twist damascus, nickel silver accents and black micarta handle
This knife is pictured in the current issue of Blade, but Steve Shackleford did not want to print that is is the "Swashbuckling Competition Knife." He thought the name was too stupid, which is just the point.

Isn't it spelled "Hillbillies"?:D I guess the Amish/Mennonites are not big on spelling!

Best Regards,

Jody - Those are two great looking ironwood blades for a hillbilly with electricity  Look forward to seeing those and more in Atlanta.

I got to handle this fine dagger this evening. Don Hanson just finished this one up at Sunfish Forge and is packing it with him to Blade. Premium black-lip pearl, premium damascus steel, premium workmanship. Somebody is going to go home from Atlanta happy. Another

I don't have a photo just yet but I completed a project sat.
It is a departure from my usual stuff. Some years back I was allowed to make a tour on a private ranch of the Santa Fe Trail. It was pretty cool. The wheel ruts are still on the praire undisturbed. Cheyenne fire rings and lodge rocks still lie undisturbed.
An old campground dump at a spring provided several pieces of wagon parts and about two feet of old crosscut saw.
I welded up the wagon iron and saw blade into a damascus hunter. Older pattern and very simple. Going to get photos done at blade and might even do a write up on it.
I enjoyed doing something very different for a change.
Thanks to Roger for getting his annual Blade kickoff started.

Some stunning work that I can not wait to see.

Just spoke to the owner of that Newton 3 blade in black pearl. Knowing that it is going to a good home, and I am just as excited to see it as he is.:)

Mike W,

Looking forward to seeing you in a few days. Let me know if something comes up I can help with.

Hopefully there will be some kind of memorial set up, to honor Bill Moran.

Hey Roger, who's going to be buying all the beers if you're not coming? (...man who promises to do things and then changes his mind) What's up dog?
