I doubt the 801CF is normal production. Although, I bet it would be an incredible seller if it was.

Sadness. I need to go yell at someone still for missing out on the 0777, and will need to make sure I don't miss out on the 0801 if it is LE.

I don't think ZT has ever done CF as a regular production (though this would be a great year to start). If that continues to hold, only the 0560BW might be regular production (and it doesn't seem to be so difficult that they couldn't).

My best bet would be 454 is going to be limited, the 0770 with CF would be a better option from a selling standpoint, being that most people were turned off by the aluminum handles. and the 560BW might be a regular production. People seem to dig coated blades even when the steel is super rust resistant.


Anyone have any insight that might back up my crackpot theories? lol

I'm gonna try to get the 801CF. Canceled my reg production 801 last month to save up for the upcoming LEs. Glad I made this decision.

This is the newest iteration of the 0770.

Hope this 0770CF will be normal production. As the old 0777, I couldn't find it.

If the 0770CF turns out to be a hit, I would not be surprised if we start seeing a number of CF variations for other models. Like an 0350CF, or an 0566CF.

I want the 454 horribly bad. Im really hoping they do a standard blade though as I really love how the original cardinator flowed. Dont get me wrong that CB blade looks sharp but the heavy contrast blurs the sexy lines. Im sure Id like it a lot more in person. Either way no matter what one of those WILL have my name on it.


Edited to add: anyone know if that 0770 with CF is still assisted?

The ZT 0770CF pretty much takes the thunder out of the regular 0770 since unfortunately not many were receptive to the aluminum handles on the 0770.

The ZT 0801CF looks stunningly good in one of the pictures that accentuates both the copper on the handle/blade and seemingly copper-colored threads in the CF scale. Just wow!

Ok, I already said what I would do for that when I though it was just a bad pic of regular black pvd. NOW i see what it really looks like! I am going to put it out there... This version of the rexford is the most enticing ZT/Kershaw I have ever seen. NO Joke, NO hyperbole. That is awesome.
