Sorry, I meant the laser etching on the blade. It just says "0770" not "0770CF" so I'm wondering if it is going to be a variant or a revision.

I think it's a revision
That's what I've heard aswell. Which means there will likely be no low serial numbers, it will pick up wherever the Al handle one stops (I wonder if #0770 will be Al or CF).

The 0770 was changed from aluminum scales to CF. No aluminum scaled version will be produced.

I just hope there are enough of these knives made that all of us ZT/Kershaw lovers atleast have a chance to get one......i know price may be issue for somepeople like myself but when i save the money just want to know i can get what i want. These are beautiful knives just hope theirs enough love to go around

There was a revision and now the 0770 is cf.

I was at blade today, and the kershaw/shun/zt guys are on top of it. I love what they are doing with their products. I got to meet Rick hindere as well as Jim from kershaw.
The zt0566 is a winner. I've held off on preordering one until I could fondle a prototype. It just might be the most perfect edc ever, at least for me. My next stop is going to be bladehq. Also, the thermite is a TON of knife for what it is going to cost. I'll be picking up two or 3 of those at their price point.

OH MY STARS. This knife is so epic! How ridiculous is it that I'm most excited for the black pocket clip? I assume this is a new thing since I haven't seen it before. I just got a DLC coated Skyline from Kershaw guy and that black pocket clip will go spectacular with that black blade and wood scales.

The color on the 0801CF is called copperhead. those pics don't do it justice!
