" 3one5 "

There are some really nice, helpful people located here in this forum. Eric for sure is one of them !!!!!!

This will be my first knife show as I plan on attending Blade this year ! can't wait 38 days and counting :) I'm mostly looking forward to meeting everyone and putting faces to names, shaking everybody's hand while having a couple cold ones :D So keep an eye out for the guy who looks lost with the deer in the headlight look on him lol, would be nice to meet you, hopefully see you there. Ah yes and scoring some INFI will just make it all the better :D:D:D

Hogs get called out for being hogs but when a dog barks its givin a bone. Maybe start callin it dogdom?

There is a tall, gray-bearded old fart there who likes to try to catch tags for practice for when he really wants one, so he ends up turning around and giving them away. Look him up.
As he gets older he has more trouble catching them, though. No guarantees.

I'd love to come to Blade this year...... Looked like the closest hotels were already booked when I checked. Any recommendations? How long and when is everybody going? Is there a Busse pre show or anything?

Guess it would depend if they're a dog or a mutt

I've seen that guy. He's about 8 foot tall with a 10 foot wing span. Good guy but if you're standing behind him trying to catch tags, it's not going to end well :)

Yea not this year for me either!!! Oh well try next year I guess. Been along wait to go and then a set back, is what it is. Everyone going have a wonderful and safe time, oh and watch for the hooves, paws and claws.:D

Eric, good on ya Son!!!

I hope to make it down for Saturday at least. I would love to make Fogo on Thursday but that won't happen.

This being my first blade show I'll be excited to see how this works.

How does the early bird special on friday night work first to the trough gets first dibs or what?
*tightens up his nikes*

The wife and I check in Thursday early.

Stone Mountain, Six Flags over Georgia, Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Zoo, Coca Cola tour, Atlanta Underground, Turner Field- Go Braves! ;)

I have been trying to work that with my wife.... but she wants to attend not go someplace else with the kids!! Does Busse have a day care area?!?!?!?!

This would be my dilemma. I suggested those things to my wife and I got the dirtiest look. After I listened to myself I didn't blame her for her reaction.

"Hey honey, why don't you and our 4 year old and 2 year old go do some kid stuff out in the Atlanta heat while I hang out in a huge air-conditioned building full of awesome man stuff?"

We still haven't been.

Blade Show is an amazing time! We love it. Unfortunately we won't be there this year, but hopefully in 2015. We'll be be watching enviously from our computer monitors on the other side of the planet.

Newbie to the forums, so please forgive my ignorance and the thread-jack. I'm going to Blade Show for the first time in many years and I just got into Busse knives. Can someone please explain what everyone is talking about: "trough, tickets, HOGS, etc..." Last time I made it to a Blade show it was a bunch of guys selling their knives at tables. This stuff sounds complicated now.... Does a newbie have any chance of buying a Busse at this show?

The show is always a good time, and it seems very treacherous from behind the booth. It can get down right vicious at times, but I have seen many HOGs give tags they fought tooth and nail for to someone who wanted it as much as they did. This is definitely a family worth being a part of. We look out for our own. Sure we bully each other from time to time, but you guys and gals are some of the most kind hearted people I have met.

Good for you, Eric, for helping 3one5 out.

To everyone who can't make it to the show this year, you will be missed. To everyone who is going, I can't wait to see all of you again. :)

The ticket system is employed to give everyone a chance at buying a particular knife. Let's say there's a limited run of a one off design and there are only 5 knives made. The tickets are thrown at random into the crowd that has gathered at the booth and everyone jumps to catch one. It's very funny. If you catch one, you then have the opportunity to purchase that knife. If you don't want the ticket, you can give it to someone else who does. Some makers employ a lottery system, but that's just boring. Not enough gore and violence. :D Have fun at the show and take plenty of pics!!

Oh, and the Busse can be spotted from space. It OWNS the Cobb Galleria. You won't have any problems finding it.

Thank you Rob that answered my question as well.

Is that how it works for the friday night early bird session as well?

Spider Monkey, welcome to the forums and to Busse! Questions are always welcome. Rob pretty much hit it on the nose. The offerings can be very confusing to someone who hasn't experienced them yet. I think there are YouTube videos of a few Busse offerings if you want to see what it looks like. As for the booth, you'll see it. I'm not sure I'd say it owns the galleria, but it is quite vast in comparison to other booths. :D

Dont focus too much on the air conditioned part. Rarely works that great. Of course when its 120° outside the 90° air conditioning does feel good.

Eric, i want you to get me a Megladon and a Ringfighter. You may have to time travel, but you gave your word.
