Blade-fondlers

I'm flipping my Dozier 4062 (used to have a bunch of bali-songs) right now. I normally play with a Spyderco or one of mine when the TV is on.

I can't carry em, and they are incredibly hard to find as you can't legally transport across state lines, but I can own them.
I feel the pain, brother, and be thankful you are living in Paradise. Visited Kona over the summer, beautiful.
Off topic- (to anyone reading this) Keoki's Donkey Balls. That's what I miss most. If you are not familiar with them, www.hawaiiandonkeyballs.com
Order some, they are macnuts covered in fine chocolate. The mocha balls have Kona coffee grounds as a flavoring.

I'm sure I could find the balis if I scrounged hard enough, but it's a lot of money and effort for something that I can't carry and is technically against the law for me to possess. And yep... Lucky live Hawaii! Wish it would stop raining, though. Can't go hiking tomorrow because of the thunderstorms.

And we sorta take mac nuts for granted around here. :D Did you eat a Spam musubi?

I was in Maui a year ago and it was all about the poke for me. We had a well-stocked grocery store near our resort and I bought and ate poke every day.

Oh, definitely-and I'm a newbie with knives. Admiring workmanship of new Kabars, rolling them over and over taking in every detail. Just got a fixed FIN serrated today.

Yeah, macnuts are everywhere there, aren't they? Oahu was a fun island to be on, beautiful.
Tried the spam musabi, preferred the barbecued pig (can't remember the name for the life of me)
Didn't rain a drop on the Big Island while I was there, and it was actually warmer in Juno, Alaska (80 degrees there, Big Island was 70-75)

Yep, macnuts are everywhere. O'ahu's my hometown but I have a lot of family in some beautiful territory on the Big Island. 70-75 is a cold day in Hawaii and the Big Island gets the coldest! :D

Also, it was probably kalua pig. Best pork ever.

Essentially smoked/steamed pulled pork, cooked wrapped in ti leaves.

Hey Dorpmuller, how do you like that Fin? Use it any? Take some pics and put 'em in the photo thread!

that's it. Best pork ever, I agree.
Went well with a bit of pineapple. Mmmmmmmm...
The only way I knew the temps in Juno was because we met a family from Ketchican while we were there, very nice people. Didn't exactly treat us like family immediately as the islanders did, nice people nonetheless.
70-75 is my ideal comfort zone, I was happy there.
Kershaw Chive is back in my hands.

yeah. It's cold here right now, how is it in Oahu?
Bet it's warm and rainy, my kind of weather. Jealous... :D
I got to thinking about pineapples, and determined that Dole whip was the fourth best thing I had, after coffee, kalua pig, and Donkey Balls. mmmmmmm.... Wish I could get some here on the mainland.

According to my computer thermometer, it's 72 degrees in Honolulu. And it's raining. So of course all of us are in sweats and blankets, being tropical creatures. :D

Sweet Jeebus, HH. Ya'll would benefit from some cooler weather. :D

I'm fondling my new/old BlackJack Trail Guide, in A2 at the moment. NCIS was on earlier, so, I had ma Kabar 1217 ridin' oak on the table next to me. Damn I love those knives. Stacked leather is the best looking handles out there. That's my opinion ya'll, so all you mammoth lovers, don't bunch the panties. :D

I just put a drop of Blue Lube in my Manix, so I'm flippin' him open-shut-open-shut while I wait for calzones to heat up.

I like those Trail Guides and the Randall Model 19 Bushmasters that they were were based off of. Like little Warthogs. :D And stacked leather's purty. So purty, Big Moose, we should have some photos of said Trail Guide.
