Hi,
In reading the threads on the forum I see alot of cool user names.
Why did you pick the user name you have?

My user name is just my last name :( I should have picked something cooler.

I thought of this same question the other day, got busy, and forgot.

Mine's a bastid-ization of the title of my favorite book "Ninety-two in the Shade" by Thomas McGuane.

Mine is the name of the mysterious computer guy in that Sandra Bullock movie "The Net".

Sometimes I think of switching to my real name though.

I use some other names on other boards.

I try not to stand out too much, and pride myself on my ability to talk about just about anything with just about anyone.

First initial and last name. It's my logon for so many things that it's just easier to use it for everything.

Yes, my life greatly resembles one big rut (and not in the fun meaning of "rut").

Short form for my patrol area... both when I worked as a police officer and now as a Conservation officer. Write it so often in notes, reports
= Hearst District

Well,I'm 5'4.5" tall and 155lbs.My wife might give you another explanation.:D

"El Cid" is a nicknmae for The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. Graduated 1984

That's about it...

Mine is for the highly worked, money guzzlin' Pontiac in my driveway. Sure it's fast. Just not fast enough for me.

I've been using 'airmojo' ever since I got on the web back in 1996 on a variety of message boards. My main hobbies are airgunning (the 'air' part, and playing harmonica (blues, folk, etc), the 'mojo' part.

I've always loved knives, especially pocket-knives ever since I was 5 years old, but I never really made a hobby out of it. Whenever someone would pull out a pocket knife I always wanted to see it--still can't take my eyes of of peoples knives. Over the past several years I have picked up a knife or two here and there--mainly gun shows and antique/flea markets. I guess I can call myself a genuine knife collector (and user!) now!

Ken Hildebrand (my true identity!)

Came up with "ElectricZombie" about 7 years ago when I was really into the films of George Romero. (Directed the original Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead - Classic zombie films.) Seemed like it would be a cool name for a new type of zombie. Now I use if for everything that requires a username.

Because I didn't realize I'd end up keeping this stupid handle rather than slow myself down on the golden road to "senior member" status.

I think my user name is quite obvious, communicates exactly what it needs to, and is user-friendly...but there's a story behind it.

Part of my job is talking with customers. At least I tend to talk with customers quite often, so it must be part of my job! ;) Well, one day I was returning the call of a lady who had left a message in the warranty department wanting information on how to return a faulty tool. Unfortunately, she was not in, so I left a message on her voice mail. My message went something like this: "Hello, this is Ron at SOG and I'm returning your call...." Well, later in the day we finally go hooked up and I answered her questions.

About a week later, her package arrived with the defective tool inside. But the package was addressed this way:
Ron Atsog :D
SOG Specialty Knives
6521 212 ST SW
Lynnwood, WA 98036
Thus, my user name in the forums.

Picked up my nick 32 yrs ago in Vietnam. It's based on a character from the B.C. comic strip. Kind of a hairy uncouth sort.

Mine is the name I've used for
17 years when playing computer
games. And of course 777 is the
ultimate opposite of 666.

Mine is my intials, it is easier than spelling my short seven letter full name.
