I'm surprised that it got past inspection, not sure what can be done.gunstockjack
That is a big bummer, Steve. It definitely should have gone on the seconds pile or simply not left the factory. I really hope you can get it taken care of - might be a warranty thing.
Email GEC- they will make it right, and faster than Barry can help you.It certainly is a let down. I emailed gunstockjack so we'll see what can be done.
https://postimg.cc/gallery/rtMGFdC Which of these would you consider the gold standard they were shooting for?I appreciate the terminology, learn new things here all the time.

I am waiting as well. I think it’ll be another week or longer maybe until we see ours. I’m not complaining though, enjoying everyone’s pictures and I received more than enough mail calls over the last month to hold me overSuch nice knives! This is probably my favorite thread running right now
Are there quite a few of us still waiting on shipping? Mine has been in “pre shipment” since the 27th of last month and the wait is killing me! Especially seeing such nice examples being shown every day![]()

May not be a crack. Perhaps a deepish scratch or a very slight check that isn't as deep as the cover. Moisten the pad of your thumb and rub that area and see if it might disappear. If necessary, I'm sure Barry will take care of it.
Fresh off production, fingers crossed they still have plenty of bone left to replace it.I wish that were true but it is a crack that goes all the way through to the liner. Barry has replied to my email and wants me to call GEC as he has seen the pictures and agrees that it shouldn't have passed QC.

Beautiful picture!
