Blade Forums Spring Street Barlow (BF Knife 2021)

Okay. Generally GEC is the final word on anything pocket knife related. But, since I'm making the argument I'm not going to win.

So...

Are the swell end jacks similar enough to what you folks want to call a Barlow that you can imagine that end caps on a Barlow would look good?

Barlows are a clearly defined pattern. They have an extended front bolster. They do not have end caps

I’ve got some really nice folders in my lineup and I’ve got to say, I own less than a handful of traditional knives and this knife has been in my pocket 99% of the time since I received it. At work, in the kitchen, around the house. I strop it every few days after putting a good edge on it and it performs amazing. By far one of my favorites. The patina is nice too! Fairly even.

Here y'all go... nobody has to imagine any more. ;)
Isn't that just a one piece-stamping? ;) :D

They used the same arrangement on Fish Knives, as did Jowika and Richards. Many of the so-called Barlows produced in Sheffield in the latter half of the 20th century, and more recently, have short bolsters, some even have 'Barlow' stamped on the side

Is "one piece stamping" the same as shell construction? IIRC, Hammer Brand was made by Imperial who made a lot of shell constructed knives.
