Blade Forums Spring Street Barlow (BF Knife 2021)

Usually, by this time too, a new thread has already found itself being populated with ideas and fantasies for the next knife. It's quiet, for now, I hope it stays that way.

I've decided to name mine Bram - to immortalize the life sucking process that this knife represents. Life-sucking aside, ol' Bram is getting a lot of use though, we somehow were able to come up with a heck of a knife for 2021.

Got to agree with you mate :( 👍

All the BS aside though, I think this is my favourite forum knife 👍

I hope the next one is called Pip...

(for Great Expectations, i dont often get to make literary references like that)

Let them fly! You might find a few that will fly over my head but not many, I wager. Being homeschooled, I had the benefit of having a very extensive library of mostly classic literature and encyclopedic books. I devoured them all and then some.

I always enjoy and appreciate your wit and perspective, Dylan, and this is a prime example of why.

Thank you, Jeremy. I have my moments - they may not be many, but they might come up once in awhile. 😁

You're a good advert for homeschooling Dylan :) I also have a lifelong love of literature, black and white TV, a misanthropic father, and a well-stocked public library, within walking distance, were undoubtedly factors! :D ;)

The analogy with the Eric's Jack is a flawed one. The Eric's Jack and the Forum Knife 2014 are completely different in blade steel, size, barehead/endcap, no shield/shield, stainless liners/brass, nail nick/longpull and above one was an officially stamped Forum Knife from GEC the other an SFO from the now defunct Canal St. There are now two different 2021 Forum Knives one Hemlock Bone long run and White Bone short run using the same parts, tubes but different scales.

It seems to me that more people are carrying and using this forum knife than others in the past. Maybe it just seems that way because there are more of them. Whatever the reason, I like that people are using them and still interested in them.

Some people in this world are completest. They must have the complete set of whatever they collect. Some people are not. I happily fall in the second category. One is not right and one is not wrong, they just are. Do what makes you happy. If you want to get them all, get them all. If you are happy with not getting them all, don't.

I'm happy that the white bone knives exist and I'm happy for those who get to enjoy them.

Now who is going to start the 2022 lambsfoot Blade Forums knife thread? I'm voting for smooth white bone.😉

I think complete collections correlate to how much time and money you want to throw at it...... I'm a collector, but being an old duffer I don't have 10-20 years to track everything down..... I'm happy with what I can get and happy for those that got something I didn't/couldn't......

I'm also voting for smooth white bone no matter what the pattern is!!

I'm late to this thread explosion, but I'll add my two cents (I know, way overpriced, but these are the days of price gouging, right!?).

I say that for all the time, effort, and complaining that Charlie had to put up with while brining the forum knife into being it is a great relief that he got to have the perk of acquiring a few white bone versions to sell to whomever he felt like it. Anybody who qualified for the Forum knife and who has a problem with not getting a white bone version is just being selfish and ungrateful for the really amazing Forum knife that was made available to them.

To those posting them: Great looking white bone knives! Enjoy them and share a picture from time to time for the rest of us to gawk at!

Congrats! I always enjoy pictures of your technical equipment.

Question: Can someone claim to have a complete collection of all the BladeForums traditional knives if they don't have the smooth white bone from 2021? If not, I hope those few guys who have managed a complete collection until now also managed to make the cut for these, too!

Well, if they can't I guess I'm done. I have a complete set including the runner up Eric's Jack, but today is the first time I've even heard about this white one. That's what I get for ignoring all the crap that accompanied the 2021 knife.
