Blade Forums Spring Street Barlow (BF Knife 2021)

I'm having an issue posting photos like I usually do at the moment. Not sure what the problem is, but it was on FB. The guy who did the auction does some nice recovers, looked very cool to see the two years mixed together.

Friends on the porch - what else should I do for January knife of the month? I have “skinned and processed” fruit, opened packages and cut errant strings on my trousers. Please share other ideas to christen my BF forum 86!!! Thank you.

I like the modded BFer, though I like hot rods too. Mods to TCs is/was considered sacrilegious but I get more 😍 for this TC than any other knife…as well as requests to buy.View attachment 1728398
That looks OK to me the other knife doesn't.
Its the same on bike sites modding for moddings sake and quite often taking away the very essence of the bike that made it what it was.

Just an opinion though 😇

Now when they are done well there nothing more classy 🥰

heres one I took at Goodwood revival.

Lovely Tritons, the Revival is on my bucket list! I’m a vintage car guy (own original Shelby for over 40 years) and appreciate stock vehicles but I also like modified vehicles. Some modified cars are hideous but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I would never call somebody a fool (you didn’t) because they modified or bought a modified knife. I passed on the earlier BF 86 because it was ebony, I’m just not into wood traditionals. I did admire that blade, however, and when mixed with the sawcut bone (all my GECs save one are bone) and the Barlow bolster I think a lovely knife emerged.

Let me be clear, no one's a fool for moding a knife (I have some of this gentlemen's work). I just don't prefer this mod to these two knives. As far as the fool goes it concerns the amount of the transaction, IMO. That being said it's his money he can choose how he parts with it and how soon.
