Blade Forums Spring Street Barlow (BF Knife 2021)

Lovely Tritons, the Revival is on my bucket list! I’m a vintage car guy (own original Shelby for over 40 years) and appreciate stock vehicles but I also like modified vehicles. Some modified cars are hideous but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I would never call somebody a fool (you didn’t) because they modified or bought a modified knife. I passed on the earlier BF 86 because it was ebony, I’m just not into wood traditionals. I did admire that blade, however, and when mixed with the sawcut bone (all my GECs save one are bone) and the Barlow bolster I think a lovely knife emerged.
I was lazy in my reply in quoting the original comment I think the original BF knife looks best as it is was my main point, but dont condemn you making what you want.

I see so many bodged bikes, hacked up old Beemers with brown fashion/hipsters seats ruined for all time.

Are you in the UK

Hey guys. If someone wants to modify a knife, it's theirs to do what they want. It's like last April, when I had all my ebony GECs fitted with Glitter Gold covers:

Haha! No I didn't really.

I like 'em just as they are.

Posted elsewhere an hour or so ago when I was at the local watering hole but belongs here too. Really enjoying the stainless for EDC duties.

SORRY PORCH, posted on WRONG 86 Barlow thread!! I Can DELETE AND REPLACE but the LIKES would then be INCORRECT!!!3642C854-6F64-4DF5-A714-AF9C81F0881F.jpeg

I have a humble collection of GEC, but none are like the 2021 Spring Street Barlow.

This photo was from one of my excursions when Merle was with me in LA. It’s one of my favorites of the forum knife.

I got into collecting GEC in 2019 and, in 2021, had my first opportunity to add a forum knife into my collection.

I wouldn’t have had that opportunity if it wasn’t for this great community that I enjoy and its annual tradition.

I hope it’s something we can continue for the sake of the spirit of Bladeforums, The Porch, and future members who will indeed enter this community one day and be a part of something extraordinary.

Gorgeous blade but that Submariner has my full attention Chief. As a diver that is my grail timepiece

Thanks, wish I could dive with you but due to spine damage my propeller only has one blade! LOL You'll be happy to know this one has been in salt water 6 days a week in the fitness center lap pool and been magnificent. Am really not a water person (wife is) but have learned to embrace it to help my mobility. My father was a conductor on the Rock Island so grew up learning his pocketwatch was an important tool. The main line only had one set of tracks, so when a pair of trains met in opposite directions, one had to pull off on a side track at a predetermined time. Couple minutes off could mean disaster. Best wishes for you to obtain one, it's a tool you have a use for ... I just like mechanical watches.

Great photo!

Thanks. Had straightened out the bezel for a couple pics but after looking at them on my computer monitor the grime in the numbers looked bad. Has been my daily wear for a couple years and was overdue some attention.
