Hang on to your hats, kids, here's a peek at Burt Foster's table - pics and descriptions are his:
Integral Fighter
This is a trailing-point, full-tang integral fighter. Blade is clay hardened W-2 with amber stag and domed nickel silver pins. Blade is nugui polished on the flats and mirror polished everywhere else.
Clip Point Integral
Full-tang integral, forged W-2. Nugui polished blade flats and mirror polsihed everywhere else. Walnut burl scales with domed nickel silver pins. I'm leaving more of the natural curves in these integrals rather than trying to chase them all out, and I think they have a more organic look than they used to.
Mosaic Damascus Hunter
This hunter has a mosaic damascus blade and guard. No idea how I made it, I was just messing around and I happened to like what came out. Somebody come up with a good name for the pattern and I'll try to remember what I did so maybe I can do it again! The blade is O-1, 1084 and 15n20. Handle is end-grain spalted maple with a little nickel silver pin and spacer.
Laminated Hunter
This is a laminated (san-mai) hunter with a 416 body and a 52100 core. The blade has a little bit of a southwest thing going on at the spine. The guard is 416 stainless and the handle is some very dark burled spalted maple.
Damascus Combat
This is a variation on my combat #3 with a random pattern damascus blade and matching guard. The blade has forge texture on the ricasso and spine. The handle is black paper micarta with stainless accents. This knife has a very "beefy" feel to it that will lead the new owner to try dumb things. Trying to cut your way out of or into an M-1 tank will void the warranty.
Combat#3
This is another variation of a combat #3, this time with a southwestern clip point blade. The blade is O-1, the guard is satin finished 416 stainless and the handle is black paper micarta.
