Here's another one from Anders Hogstrom. Don Hanson III made the pattern welded steel. It is a San Francisco style dagger with a 13" blade, sterling silver fittings and a walrus ivory handle.

Here's a very unique Fisk as Jerry describes below.

This is a folding hunter. I used the old Nessmuk style blade and put it on my Sendero style handle so I call it Fiskmuk. This one has antique elephant ivory handle, stainless bolsters, liners and lanyard hole. I hate to say it but I had to use a german silver pin in the stainless bolster so it sticks out like a diamond in a goats arse. Thats ok. I plan on engraving the bolsters so I will use that as the center of a flower or some such. The 2 3/4 inch long blade is ladder pattern damascus and it has a damascus spring. It is a slip joint of course with a good positive half stop for safety.

In my opinion this is an excellent folding hunter. I made myself on to try it out for my personal knife this year. I was surprised as how well it did in daily carry, I was expecting it to be a bit awkward except for hunting usage. This is not a gents folder. It is a folding hunter. period. I do plan on engraving it and putting some gold wire inlay in as well. No use to to out hunting with something ugly. I go to nice places to hunt on occasions so personally I demand that it work first then I want it to look pretty.

That Fisk folder is beaut of a design.

It's a very nice functional piece that a serious hunter could carry in his pocket rather than his belt. Jerry's Sendero handle has proven itself for it's comfort in use and functionability in the field combined with the workhorse nessmuk blade.

In spite of being a no non-sense hunter being capable of attacking tough task, the Fiskmuk will also represent it's owner well if pulled out at the country club for say tipping a fine cigar.

Can't wait to see this piece engraved. I can imagine one of these with beautiful amber stag scales and fine engraving in my pocket in the future.

In the future, we might just see this model on hunting grounds all over the world.

I'll have this one on my table at Blade. It is my version of a Moran Camp Knife.
It has an 11 inch blade of 5160, the fittings are Stainless, the handle is Curly Maple with pure Silver wire inlay. OAL is 16 inches.

Chuck Ward has gone out of his way to help me get a record of the knives I've completed this close to Blade. Thank you Chuck.

Though started in Arkansas, "coon finger" is well on it's way to becoming an official internationally recognized knife term. :D:D;)

Lin, your becoming quite the silver wire inlay craftsman.

That blade on the Hogstrom dagger is outrageous:D

I like it too. It will be engraved with a little gold inlay when finished.

Hi Peter.
No it's not a friction.
