I will have 6 knives made of the new CruForgeV steel. No Pics yet...

Dan Farr 14-Q

I haven't seen the fnished knives, but I have seen the finished blades and every one is a winner.

Don - that ivory is just outstanding - as is the knife to which it is attached.

Great looking knives, guys. i will be bringing 8 of my pitiful little blades, all made from W2. I had hoped to have 10+, but things don't always work out the way you want. My camera isn't cooperating either...lol.

thanks Don:)
I am absolutely in love with that knife. I call it 'Domino', and it will forever live in my virtual collection.

Don, I'm going to be a real "pain in the ass". ;)
Do you by any chance have a photo of that ivory in the raw, before you
shaped, cleaned and polished it?
This will kind of demonstrate how ivory goes through quite a transformation via the skill of the maker.

Don Hanson III... That Damascus folder is just AWESOME (as are your other offerings).

As my body is "broke" and I don't travel well, THIS thread IS "Blade 09" for me, It doesn't put me in a very good position to handle or purchase any of these beauties, but it's wonderful to be able to at least see them all.

Thank you all so much for showing us your wares!

timcsaw, thank you sir! Look for all the professional photos to be posted after the show. These will be worth a look. Sorry you can't make the show.

Kevin, sorry no photo, I'll start shooting some before I clean em up.

I bought 3 or 4 pieces of fossil walrus a few years ago and they were all black and rough. I had no idea what colors were under the bark until I ground the bark off. This one was super cool and the others were just white. Ya never know what you're goin to get when buying this stuff in the rough.

Thanks guys!

Hello Guys! I'm at Little Rock airport, going to Atlanta. I just passed my cutting test at Jerry's home, and I'll submit for MS test this year, but I have no pictures to show.
See yall in Atlanta!

Sheers,

Rodrigo

Rodriggo!

I'm so glad to hear you'll be there. Kay and I cant wait to see you. Safe trip, my friend. Lin

Rodrigo, I got an email from Jerry with the good news. Congrats and please try and have Coop make pics because I think we all would love to see what you made for your MS.

John Horrigan send me pics of what he will have on his table, here are two of them.

One day before we leave for Atlanta, finally finished the mate to that little hunter.

5" Hunter;7 7/8" Fighter; both 1084, 416 fittings, file-grooved Micarta collars, Desert Ironwood handles. There's Paul Long's sheath for the Hunter, matching sheath for Fighter coming.

Whee-oou! Done.

:eek:I just browsed through all the Beautiful knives going to Blade.

Very nice work guys!!!

Is that because two (maybe at least one) will be sent through the postal system before BLADE? :)
LOL........Unfortunately, yours is in a heat treated and hand sanded to around 200 grit stage of finish on my bench awaiting a handle, sir. It got delayed along with the last two for Blade because of tme and injury issues.:) Fret not, because I am going on a massive stag safari at Blade and you will likely end up with a REAL nice handle.

Yes, beautiful Horrigan pieces. Will be sure to make it by his table.
I see a Hancock influence in the bowie and a Fuegen influence in the push dagger.
