BLADE SHOW ’09 – Show us what you got; Please!

Thanks Guys! I also have a few damascus blades to chose from and hope to finish one or two of them also. Folders in the works too, goin to be a very busy 6 or 7 weeks...

Lorien, those round discs, are slices from 2.125" W2 round bar, I just slice off enough for one blade and start forging, this is for fun part :) Thanks man!

You mean those 11-W2 discs aren't going to be ready by Blade?? :p That is a great picture, Don. Roger is right...oh, the possibilities!

I'm glad you explained that Don. I was beginning to think you expanded your operation to include custom hockey pucks. :p :D

Dang,

Talk about forged to shape. Can't wait to see them next month.

I doubt Don, will be using any of Gig's handle material though. ;)

making things out of circles is cool. What better shape to start with?
I used to love playing with Silly Putty, and I always started by rolling it into a ball and then making whatever out of it.
I really can't say enough good things about circles:thumbup::cool: My favorite shape by far.

Gig, should I be scared? Will Gus like it?

Wonder how much a hockey puck weighs, these would hurt if hit in the head :D

Lorien, I like this shape to start, because I can go in any direction, no limits...

it's all about the tangents:thumbup::cool:

Here's a small antique Tortoise shell folder I am posting for Cliff Parker. This one is the first one ready for the Blade show.

It's snazzy the way Cliff themes his damascus after the handle material.
He makes some slick folders.

Turtles! It must be a sign.

I thought that you were going to call those 2 1/8 inch slices "cookies' and package them up like Girl Scout Thin Mints for shipping to customers.:D

Here's one from Shawn Ellis:

"1st fighter for the blade show 2009 blade 8.50 ovl 14" Blade forged from W-2 with a temper line ,416 stainless guard & ferrule with A+ Desert ironwood handle."
