Hey all,
Just finished putting this one all together for the upcoming Blade Show. Trying to make sure I have a few pieces on the table.

This piece has a high carbon steel tile mosaic damascus blade of "tumbling stars". The guard is canister welded "frontier" damascus. The handle is dyed/stabilized Maple Burl wood with a black spacer aand stainless pin. She's on her way to Paul Long now for some fine sheath work.

Here's one I'll be bringing:
324 layer twist 1084/15N20, hot-blued
416 stainless hardware and
some fantastic stabilized Mesquite burl! (Unlike anything I've ever used before):

Karl, you're such a tease!:D:thumbup:

I need to thank Roger Pinnock for his input on this one - I had a simple proportion issue, and he helped to affirm my thoughts.

Anyway, I just now walked into the house from forging this blade from W2. The fittings will be made from Ws style Damascus.
I may post up some full knife pictures nearing show time.

Pretty please. :) And I applaud the choice of damascus fittings. This should be a sweet knife.

Im pretty bummed that a conflict with work will keep me from atteding this year, but seeing all these terrific knives helps soothe the sting.

Two gorgeous fighters by Shawn Ellis - one in carbon and ironwood, the ohter damascus and ivory.
