Hey Dan, How'd the Napa show go for you. It's a beautiful area..just not as much so in Feb.
You probably still don't know exactly where your table will be at Blade I bet.

Yep, I'm planning on being there. I'm not sure about Jess tho. She wants to go but she also wants to visit her mom in ks too.

Hey Gang,

Quick question about BLADE - in all the years that I have been to the BLADE Show I have never noticed anyone selling any Khuks (other than the occasional Touirist trap one on one of Tables up in the front Right Side). I'm sure those devoted to the Khuk have already noticed this.

I found myself intrigued by the Handmade Japanese offerings last year and purchased a very nice Kitchen knife and a traditional Japanese Hunting knife. But with so many countries being represented at BLADE why do you think it is that no Khuks show up? Is it more of an economic thing (being that the tables are so outrageous to rent, as well as the Hotel costs, etc.)?

Also, are there ever any planned / informal get togethers of the Khuk Holders after hours?

There were last year! It was a great pleasure, and it's hard to believe it's been almost a year.

There were Khuks , not any a HI forumite might buy though I think one in the group found a descent old piece in a box.

There were some mass produced shinny over priced new ones, not bad but not what you might buy fater knowing about HI. Maybe someone (Dan? ) could be given some to take along.

Is it that time already? I've got to see if I can get R&R for that.

Anyone planning on going to Fogo de Chao again? It was great fun showing off our newly aquired wares with the waitstaff hovering around:D

Does the blade show sell guns, too?

It would be worth the long drive just to meet up with some of you guys.

No guns for sale, Steve, although I'm sure there are plenty in the room.:D

Fogo's was great last year. I'm down with going back again.

It would be great if HI could have a display somewhere, somehow. I remember after last year we were kicking around the idea of all volunteering to staff a booth & sell some quality khuks. It would be great to see that happen in the years to come.

Fogo was good unless there is another place....maybe this time we won't get lost!

I'll be there. Sure are a lot of us going too. I'd love to meet you guys. Can we setup a time and place? Anyone interested?
