This years show was different for me I had commited to work Matt Diskens booth this year and even though Matt and I are good friends if someone is paying me I take it serious and I tried my best. We had a great show and I believe Matt was very pleased. I was with my good friends STeven and the one and Only Dave Mirable. The 4 of us manned the booth and we had a ball

Regretfully I did not get around to seeing everyone like I would of liked to but thats life when your working a show , So for those I did not get to see sorry

Highlights for me where the CKCA banquet which every year gets bigger and better.

STevens annual dinner with my adopted father P Long , Keven Jones, Buddy and the Coopers. As usual STeven knows his food you can tell by his gut :D. It was a great time

As usual it was great to see everyone and I had a ball

The late nights and repeating my sales pitch of Matts great knives and his everyone has to have handle materials took there toll on me and I'm kinda beat

As for knives I saw some great ones and regretfully only got around a bit but I want to congradulate the DeRosiers for there outstanding work and awards

Adam and Haley you guys are the future

Congrats to everyone else that won awards

As for knives I really had no intentions in buying any :D

But Jason brought a few versions of the Founders Bowir and since I had some input on this knife when he showed me a user version of the Founders that had a Micarta handle and a sheath from Lance I could not pass it up. Know I can put up the proto type and take this one out adventureing

Last but not least I have to thank the Tony's from MicroTech

I always enjoying hanging out with them and spending time with them and when Tony Sr showed me his custom combat that he was carrying that he had ground himself and is a one off steril total custom I had to have it

I asked if I could buy it and almost fell over when he said give me your hand and don't move. He gave me a little stick in the palm and then handed me this more than rare custom and said it was a gift

His generosity set me back and I still can't believe it. Microtech and the Marfione's are are a giant in the industry and pure class and I am proud to call the family friends

Thanks everyone

That microtech is wicked and I really like the founders bowie. Looks SO comfortable with a powerful blade. I just want to hold it whenever I see pictures.

Glad you had a good time! You probably felt more productive this year also. :)

Hopefully I'll see ya next year.

Why the heck I didn't know you were working is beyond me, bro... I never would have called! Kind of a trip to have the phone handed off and then get yelled at by Jason because I never call him! ; )

Hearing the stories from you guys is really killing me, though - I'm starting to truly regret my abhorrence of crowds. I might have to sack up and force my way through it next year.

Great blade from Jason ya got there, my friend. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I like the looks of that over the presentation model. There's a toughness to it that just says "NOT WELCOME". Dig it!!!

Sorry we only had a quick visit Joe, but glad I got to see you. I enjoyed looking over that user version of the Founder's Bowie - "a big mean knife" indeed.

I saw the regular series version on Sam Butler's hip - it is really impressive - congrats again to you and Jason.

Roger thank you and always pleasure

wish we could of had more time

would've been fun, alas not in the cards for me this year. Great to see your scores Joe, very nice steel ya got there.

Always good seeing you, Joe. Glad to see Pappy Long was overseeing the salemanship from the booth at times. You guys would probably sell the same volume without him, but turnaround is much quicker with Paul snapping his whip. ;)

- Joe

Thanks everyone

Lorien and Jon ya should of came

Danbo you got some good stuff always good seeing ya

Joe always a pleasure but Pappy is a task master

Joe, dear friend, previous commitments kept me from the show this year and I really missed not being with you and Paul----Next year will find me there if I am still vertical---Sandy

Captain Joe,

The pain of missing the Blade Show was washed away, by the arrival of my Knight Founder's Bowie.

It exceeded all my expectations.

Thanks,

Peter

Joe The Folder Pimp.:D I got to drop by the booth on Saturday and apparently Matt's new production folders are not only attractive and VERY reasonably priced, but also come with VERY sharp edges because it seemed like someone was bleeding all over the counter ever couple of minutes.;) The lads also apparently sold a lot of handle material over the course of the weekend.

Joe,

It was nice to see you again at the show. I wish I had known you were working a table, I would have dropped by.
